The Happening looks like it's going to suck. The Incredible Hulk, on the other hand, has piqued my interest.

I'm hesitant because his OPS is heavily influenced by his OBP. I'd like to think we could get very good OBP numbers with mediocre power numbers from Murton. Murton probably won't produce as well as Giles this season, but I'm wavering on whether the price we'd have to pay to get Giles would make up for the disparity.

I say we call up Murton and have him sit on the bench for four weeks, giving him one pinch hit AB every five days.

Brian Giles. Wouldn't be a bad choice, but even on the road he's not hitting for much power. His BABIP is a tad high, which makes me think he'll have a bit of a slump in the near future. I'm back and forth on the idea. It could work.

I get the feeling a rental in LF just got bumped up the trade deadline target list. Hoffpauir and Murton can come in and produce adequately, but losing Soriano for a minimum of 6 weeks hurts badly.

The Chiefs dropped Game 1 of the DH 7-3. Rhee only pitched 4 innings and is clearly still on a short pitch count. Audy Santana got the start for Peoria in Game 2 of the DH. Daytona won 10-6. Caridad had a good start and Casey Lambert continues to be a dominant reliever. Tennessee is getting 2 hit. Veal only went 2 innings. Vance picked an awesome game to see. Iowa lost 5-2. Unless you're a Jason Dubois fan, nobody you care about had a good day. -

A little late again, but, also approaching a .360 career OBP...I don't understand how he has managed to perform this well, but I'll take it. Yet there are still quite a few that think Cedeno is getting screwed. We've gone quiet and are waiting for Theriot's decline. If it doesn't happen, we won't complain. :D
