Rebel needs to start hitting over the Mendoza line at Peoria if he wants to begin next year at Daytona. I don't think the Cubs have ever cared much about batting averages when it comes to bumping guys up to Daytona. Jost has to end up in full season ball if the Cubs plan on doing anything with him. Maybe he'll end up in Daytona, but I get the feeling he'll be in Peoria next season.

Preceding that with the always popular "roll over" option.

I can see situations where the ground rule double would be unfair to the team on offense. Those hits could be triples or could have scored runners from first.
