  1. no worries, that was the plan today to also get Cabrera his work. What happened with Vitters and Pevey in the 4th? I see both got tossed.
  2. Marcos Mateo has had a rough go of it so far; 4 hits and 3 walks given up in 4 IP. Huntsville leads 2-1 going into the 5th.
  3. Damn you for making me crack up in the library.
  4. 30-ish AAA player, been hanging around that level for a long time. Had a nice year at the plate last year @ Iowa. Basically one of those guys who will get a soft-focus lens special on Outside the Lines if he ends up sticking with the Cubs and doing well.
  5. It's a bit of a concern, but frankly, his stuff is good enough that he'll likely end up in the FSL at some point this season, if not in AA next season. I think the reason the Cubs have him down in Peoria is to hammer out his control problems, since the hitters down there are less likely to make him pay, meaning he'll have longer outings and can get more innings in under his belt.
  6. I just looked at their menu. Link Any burger with anger as an ingredient sounds awesome to me.
  7. San Francisco's last in the majors in runs scored. Let's keep it this way.

  9. Yep I am officially excited about both of them. They both have long ER free streaks going. I liked Carpenter a lot when I saw him. The only two concerns I have about him are his health and his control. He's been walking a lot of guys.
  10. I might literally get crucified by members of this forum if I start another injury thread. Pretty much, yeah. I'd delete that sucker immediately.
  11. Iowa's game got suspended in the 4th. It will conclude on May 31st at 1:35 PM CST.
  12. Starlin Castro with his first HR of the season. Apparently, he can occasionally hit FSL pitching.
  13. Lilly caught a giant moth down in Arizona and was holding it in his hands for about an inning or so as he and Dempster looked like two five year olds scheming. Lilly ended up putting the bug on Gerald Perry's hat as Gerald walked around oblivious to it for a few moments.
  14. My heart momentarily stopped when he hit that. Taking three out of four from the Marlins is always welcome. :D
  15. ? He unwound the thread of a baseball, got all the way down to the rubber core, and decided to try cutting the rubber core in half. Happily, someone in the dugout took the scissors from him to cut the ball in half for Marshall.
  16. Someone show the replay of that to Gathright so that he can learn what to do to avoid over-sliding second.
  17. Baseballs have a chewy chocolate center?!?!?!!?
  18. Yuck. This is getting too close for comfort.
  19. That ump's done that a few times today on check swings. He really should be deferring to the other umps in those situations.
