  1. Someone get that fan an autographed ball for not being a moron.
  2. This thread might have trouble reaching 10 pages without Fred around to provide his usual "ten posts in a row" banter.
  3. Someone get a standing order to shoot on sight any Canucks fans in the city of Chicago.
  4. My body is physically rejecting studying for bankruptcy. I pick up the book and my brain immediately blanks out. This is not happening with my other subjects. Good thing the Cubs are on TV to distract me!
  5. Well, you clearly haven't been around here very long to worry about something like that.
  6. Hey, sometimes you get so baked that you lose track of time.
  7. Lenny Harris and Jose Macias have to be in there somewhere. Not in the same lineup. Harris was there in 2003. Macias didn't join the Cubs until 2004. However, we did have these great 1-2 combos: 2004 Jose Macias/Damian Jackson Jose Macias/Ramon Martinez Damian Jackson/Ramon Martinez 2005 Jose Macias/Neifi Perez I meant individually. Thanks for proving my point. :D Go Lee!
  8. Somebody get Zambrano a pair of crutches or a wheelchair or something.
  9. Lenny Harris and Jose Macias have to be in there somewhere.
  10. The top of our lineup should be at the bottom of our lineup.
  11. On the flip side, we get to watch Tim Lincecum mow down the Cubs' lineup today! He's fun to watch.
  12. Yes, yes it is. Which is a bummer because I needed something interesting to get me through the afternoon. Does it affect Marshall's thought process at all to know he's got to pitch well with that crap lineup out there behind him? He figures he might as well save his arm and pitch half-assedly with this lineup behind him.
  13. those are fantastic They speak the truth.
  14. Oh boy, another season of disappointment, mediocre talent, and teeth-grinding annoyance from the Badgers! I can't wait for them to make the tournament, get my hopes up, and crush them horrifically.

  16. Andy Seiler over on Sickels' blog is in the midst of his fourth mock draft. Here are the picks he's made for the Cubs... Week of April 14th: (First Round, Second Round) Week of April 21st: (First Round, Second Round) Week of April 28th: (First Round, Second Round) Week of May 4th: (First Round, Second Round Upcoming)
  17. It's not much of a different situation from Zambrano hustling over to cover first while pitching. He got on base and started a big rally. Plus, frankly, that was a perfect bunt. You can argue that a big man like him should be swinging away, but with the massively awkward swings he takes, it's a miracle he hasn't torn an obique muscle in his career. In my mind, there's not a whole lot worth arguing about with his bunt.
