  1. The field is a mess. The groundscrew are taking care of it as we speak.
  2. So their rain delay programming would be the game where Willie Mays Hayes scored from 2nd on a bunt?
  3. I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic. I don't think any game will ever top the Mongo Game in the past 10 years, though. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen. I'd also throw the 2004 11-10 victory over the Reds in 2004 that ended with Sosa and Alou going back to back into the pile. Yeah, the Mongo game was my favorite Cubs game memory I think. There were a few games in against the Brewers in 98 that I remember. That 2004 Reds game I went to sleep because the Cubs were down by 5 and I thought they were going to lose. If we're going back to 1998, my all-time favorite game is the 20 K game, no questions asked. Let's see what else was there...the Michael Barrett double against the Athletics in 2004, Z's no-no last year, Ryan O'Malley's 8 inning miracle against the Astros in 2006...

  5. This is one of my five favorite regular season games from the past 10 years.
  6. What game are they showing since I don't get CSN all the way up here in Hickville, WI? The insane 2 out comeback in the 9th against the Brewers last year.
  7. This game was during that stretch where I actually managed to get over my hatred for Jim Edmonds. I never thought he would do it, but he did it. Geo was fat then, too. GO!!!
  8. Theriot versus Torres...strike 1. God, WHY CAN'T THIS TEAM SCORE OFF THE BREWERS?!
  9. The Jack Brickhouse program is pretty nifty. I was too young to have heard him, but I can see why he was such a great broadcaster.

  11. Josh Vitters is clutch, hitting the game-winning single in the 10th.
  12. That was excellent.
  13. Nice sweatervests, guys.
  14. I'm guessing that's what he means...but ears?
  15. Hawk's got some baseball saying that either go way over my head or don't make any sense. "Theriot couldn't find the ears on that ball." ...what?
  16. "One missed pitch..." "Well, one missed pitch and two fastballs right down the middle."
  17. "Fly ball to deep left center." *Silence*
  18. He's been insufferable about that ball called on Soriano. It's delightful.
  19. Hindsight, 20/20, etc.
  20. http://www.concurringopinions.com/archives/notdeadyet.jpg The Cubs think they'll go for a walk.
  21. We...won? Seriously? Really? Wow. Cool.
  22. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm off to take a nap.
  23. Oh come on..lets not pretend he's the thing that's somehow keeping the Cubs from winning. He's a part of the problem...he's not THE problem. He's probably the biggest individual piece of the problem. Aramis Ramirez being out would take that honor. I'd also be willing to listen suggestions on whether we can consider Andres Blanco, Aaron Miles, and Mike Fontenot a single crappy 2B.
