    This could be another Juan Uribe incident, but still, the allegations in and of themselves are pretty damn crazy.

    If we're looking at low budget teams who are usually willing to deal top names before they become expensive, Jason Kubel might be an option. He's due to be paid $4.1m next season and has a club option for 2011 worth $5.25m. He'd cost an arm and a leg, but the Twins might be willing to sell high on him.

    Michigan State should be a good test to determine if Wisconsin actually is any good this year. Northern Illinois and Fresno State have looked halfway decent this season, but it's hard to get a reliable measure of how good the Badgers actually are without having them go up against Big Ten teams.

    Then the Park District will remind them it is their field Thats fine, im sure if they threatened to move out to one of the Burbs they could get more done. Given the nation-wide budget crunch, I'm guessing they would have enormous problems with finding the financing they'd need to do something like that. The Park District could easily call their bluff.

    The biggest problem in my mind is that the Cubs just created a gaping hole in the OF for next season. What should they do, move Fukudome back to RF and have Sam Fuld out in CF full-time? Go through the scrap heap in a mediocre FA market? Put Tyler Colvin out there and pray to God he plays decently?
