uhhh because that was neither his fault nor part of that play Yea they just put the highlight on Gameday. The wild pitch was Hammel's fault. Trying to tag from 1st though..... Yeah I just saw the clip and it's on Hammel but a catcher that isn't hitting should come up with at least some tough balls to handle and I am not saying that one specifically but he's been horrendous receiving and blocking.

Miggy tried to tag from first on a long flyout to center by Almora. The results were predictable You forgot that he also didn't do his one job, which is catch the pitch from Hammel, and allowed the game to be tied up.

The scouting report on Ben Revere is that he doesn't throw well? Miguel Montero is slower than I am right now and I will immediately pull both hamstrings if I took off sprinting.

It's a dumb administrative rule. You have to let the umpire know you're appealing for the run to not have been counted. I had this happen in a college game and my manager went ape [expletive]. I still don't get it, but I didn't see the full play yesterday. What was the call on the field and how did it differ from an appeal? There isn't much to get and its a stupid rule. Before Hammel steps on the mound Zobrist needed to tell the umpire they were appealing. He didn't so the play counted and Smith was called out "incidentally" kind of like being picked off.

Whut. He is implying that bunters are wimpy, I guess. I think it's the no hitter unwritten rule thing but it's the 3rd inning so it's even dumber to be upset about it.
