  1. i can't remember a playoffs that was such a wall-to-wall choke-fest for kickers. It just hasn't been the playoffs, though. The entire season was just horrible.
  2. Wow, what a throw/catch.
  3. Of course if they do that...
  4. Holy crap. If Peyton has that much time all day the Jets are gonna get slaughtered.
  5. I'm saying.... Colts 35 Jets 17 As for the second game I have no idea what's gonna happen or who I want to win. I love Favre and Peterson but the Saints are just a fun team to watch. I guess I'll say... Vikings 27 Saints 21 But I have absolutely no confidence in that pick.
  6. Bahaha, whaaat. Did you seriously even believe that for half a second?
  7. Hoooly [expletive]. That is ridiculous. I'd like to be able to do that one time. That's just craziness, point guards don't do that. No kidding. The only way I'll ever be that high in the air is with the assistance of a ladder.
  8. Hoooly [expletive]. That is ridiculous.
  9. 88198. Woot.
  10. Hahaha. There's more to do in NYC than Indy? No [expletive]. Hard-hitting journalism, right there. I love (and by love i mean hate) those ignorant types of articles that come out before every big game.
  11. I'm pretty sure it's been used for every topic ever.
  12. Yeah, because it's not like plenty of MLB pitchers were juicing, too. Shut the [expletive] up, Fergie. I love how people like to believe that (despite Roger Clemens getting caught) steroids are a disease completely limited to hitters. Ignorant beliefs like this are the true tragedy of the 'steroid era,' as far as i'm concerned.
  13. All this proves is that it's actually impossible to care less about the Pro Bowl. Yeah, I used to actually care about the Pro Bowl. Well, not really "care" so much as "watch it because it's Sunday and since the Super Bowl is over I might as well watch one last game w/ NFL players on the year." This year's is just a joke, though.
  14. I will always think of Jody Davis when I see a #7 on the Cubs. Jody, Jody DavisCatcher without a Beer Fixed. Retiring numbers in baseball is dumb. In football the players are wearing helmets and you can't see their faces. Thus the numbers are a big part of identifying them on the field. I'm ok with someone like Walter Payton having his number retired but not people like Jimbo Covert. Does anyone really make the connection between a baseball player and the number he wears/ wore? When I think of Andre Dawson I remember his batting stance and intimidating stare. It never once occured to me that he shouldn't wear Santo's #10. Out of curiosity, what's your take on basketball? Is it even possible to argue that there's not a strong connection between MJ and 23?
  15. Great, great post. I agree 100%
  16. I'd have to assume it's for players and season ticket holders. The building is being built on the ground that is currently occupied by the player parking lot and a lot reserved for mostly season ticket holders. Unless they made that building a whole lot taller I can't imagine them having room for any more parking than that. Also, I have to wonder where the TV network trucks would sit as they usually park in the area that this building would cover. Either way, it looks amazing.
  17. I'll go in as a spot starter or something. I'd love to be a starter but if my turn comes up during a homestand it's pretty impossible for me to do it.
  18. I'm really hoping for a Manning v. Brees/Favre match-up. I want nothing to do with the Jets in the Super Bowl.
  19. Yes. Those were hideous too.
  20. Yeah, from the videos you posted it doesn't appear i was working in any of the rooms that you were in. The only non autograph session I was at was the down on the farm thing. I had a family conflict on Sunday and couldn't make it. Which is maddening because it's the one session I REALLY wanted to go to. Yeah, I was pretty pumped that I actually got to go to that session. I had been stuck by autograph booths for the majority of the rest of the convention. But that day I was Andrew Cashner's escort for the day (Really nice guy, btw) and so I sat behind the stage and got to hear the session. It was kinda interesting, but nothing really earth-shattering was said. And not a problem, Garwilly.

  22. One of you peoples came up and said hi to me and I couldn't connect the face to a screen name...who was it?
  23. Go Colts. As for the NFC...I have no idea who I want to win. That game should be epic. I really hope it's not a letdown.
  24. I always wonder about assessments like this. What did Grace do that Sammy didnt that made him any more of a 'team player.' Seems to me that "Team Player" usually is just a different way of saying "Doesn't hit as many home runs"
  25. Jets win.
