Okay, so I was at the game today and here are a few of my notes: 1-The home plate umpire drove me up a friggin' wall with his 10-second delay before calling a ball/strike. 2- Pie NAILED that triple, and holy crap can he fly. It's even more impressive in person. And in his second at bat...that shoulda been a home run. he missed by literally two feet and the wind was blowing in when he hit it. 3- Cesar Izturis? Seriously? hahahahhahah 4- Lee really made me mad. He looked so out of it. He just watched quite a few great pitches just float over the plate. 5- Ellison (I think thats his name...#9) is a prick. He fake-threw to the stands at least three times during warmups. If that is true, then praise the lord. Also, I was staunchly opposed to the Prior/Tejada trade idea at the time...but boy...what if.

I fully plan on buying a Marshall Jersey sometime in the near future. I love him. He is by far my favorite non Lee/Z cub. Also, not to be picky, but Fontenot isn't really a "product of our system." He came over in the Sammy Sosa trade, and I'm pretty sure he was already in AAA. If not, then it was at least AA.

SWEET! I so want to see a total blowout/slugfest. Luckily for us, Marquis is a groundball pitcher. Unluckily for us, he sucks. Anyway, I'm getting ready to leave any minute now. GO CUBS!

I have seen one. Was at Rich Hill's first-ever win last year, where we scored 7 in the first 3 innings. It was so much more fun not having to constantly worry about whether the Cubs were going to win and be able to have some fun. Exactly what i'm hoping for. Every game I have ever gone to we have either won by like 1 or 2 or lost by 1 or 2. Case in point, the two games I have been to this year: April 9 (opening day): Astros 5 Cubs 3 April 15 (Jackie Robinson day) Reds 1 Cubs 0 The first game I ever went to was Sept 18, 1999. The game when sosa hit his 60th hr for the second year in a row. We lost 7-4. The last game I went to prior to this year, was a walkoff win against the brewers. Todd Hollandsworth had a walkoff single in the bottom of the 9th. I have been to TWO 14 inning games and one 12 inning game. I'm all about the close games :(

I'm so pumped that I get to watch the cubs play Weaver tomorrow, live. I hope they absolutely annihilate him. I want to watch a blowout. I've never witnessed a blowout live.

Tonight? This was his third great performance in a row.

hehe. Yeah, if that's the way you describe a throw that bounces twice before it ever makes it to the infield. Bruce Miles' account in the Daily Herald indicated that the throw bounced twice on the way to Barrett also. With all due respect to bruce, I dont know what game he was watching. Jones spiked that thing into the dirt between first and second base and it hoped a few times then rolled up to Barrett.

The cubs are not good at baseball. Also, They better CRUSH weaver tomorrow. i'm gonna be at that game.
