  1. Geovany Soto.
  2. I can't believe nobody has done this yet:...
  3. Yeah. I'm pretty sure you're right, vance. Move along, folks. Nothing to see here.
  4. +1000 I love DeRo a whole lot. And I think I'll love him a whole lot more after these playoffs are over.
  5. I'm okay with that, as long as that means that Traschel gets bumped down. There is zero chance that Trachsel is or was ever going to be on the playoff roster. I don't know why anyone was worried about this. Has this been confirmed? I haven't kept up with the playoff roster, so I'm not exactly sure who's on it, to be honest with you. Playoff roster to be released later today, per lou.
  6. Agreed...that sounded a lot like "We've got to talk to Jason and let him know Soto is playing..." Exactly. Gah you guys beat me to it.
  7. Well give it to us already, so we can let the whining pissing and moaning begin. lol Haha. He said they're going to give it to us "after the workout" And when Muskat asked if soto or kendall would be starting he said "Well, i'm going to talk to the players involved, but yeah, we know what we're going to do." Any chance that can be translated as "I have to sit down and explain to the more veteran Kendall why I'm letting the rookie start in place of him" or am I just reading WAY too much into that.
  8. hahaha, i forgot about the fruit by the foot.
  9. I think I pretty much found the perfect women. She's obsessed with the Cubs too and has no problem with watching the games with me. She loves going to Wrigley, and basically said if I wanted to we could spend the money to get tickets to all the playoff games if we can't get them on cubs.com. Can I have your girlfriends phone number, plz.
  10. They're giving us the lineup today! The roster too! I assume the injured player is ward.
  11. Piniella showin' love to the vets!
  12. As he almost always does.
  13. "We'll use Jason out of the bullpen, yes" Crap.
  14. We could get together and pool out money together and buy 300 blue T-shirts. Then in black marker on the back we write "SOTO - 58" as if it were a jersey shirt. Then hand them out to fans entering the ballpark We could, but I don't want to sit at home and write SOTO 58 for three hours. Plus I'm dead broke. If you guys want to do it, however... /typical lazy college student.
  15. Great, bulletin board material already I don't think he meant it to come out that way. I think he meant that the Diamondbacks won 90 games for a reason and that they were a good ball team. Didn't quite come out right though. In other words you think it was a lack of a grasp of the English language than a slight to the Diamondbacks? pretty much. Okay, good. I know the dbacks fans will probably take this the wrong way but I couldn't care less about that.

  17. Hahahahah, damnit. Im mad I am just now tuning in.
  18. Would it be worth it for those of us who are going to the games on saturday and sunday to just hang out outside to make Soto signs? or maybe just take white t shirts and write "Geovany Soto." on the front?
  19. Ronny Woo Woo's cousin? Also...anyone....plz... an online clip of CSN's coverage. I know I was at the end of it. And apparently I was on CSN Sports Night too cause a friend called me and told me he saw me. That was a great phone call by the way: *phone rings* Roast: Hello Friend: YOU $%^&* SUCK. YOU'RE ON SPORTS NIGHT NOW!? Roast: hahahahahahhahaha Between me being on the front page of the Trib, and you being on Sportsnight, us NSBBers are finally getting the recognition that we deserve. Don't forget Vance in the 7th inning stretch competition.
  20. I am really really hoping the Dbacks get swept. Not only because we are playing them, but moreso because if they somehow pull this out of their you-know-whats and win it all....The media will have a field day with the "stats dont mean anything. LOOK at what the D-backs did. They used heart, grit, moxy, and chemistry to win it all."
  21. Such a long time... :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly: I'm going to lose my mind waiting around for this thing to start. No kidding. At least I have class all day tomorrow and Wednesday to help ease some of the tension. You're lucky. Seven hours of foreign language class each of the next two days actually had me rooting for day games to keep me occupied during the afternoons. Wednesday night feels a week away. Eww, that sucks. Tues: Oral Expression: 9am - 11:50am Intro To Journalism: 12:30pm - 3:20pm Wednesday: New Millennium Studies: 10:30am - 11:50am College Mathematics: 12:30pm - 3:20pm Wednesday is going to be pure hell. NMS is the most worthless class on the entire planet. It has absolutely no purpose. And I really do mean that. And college mathematics...3 hours of math that I did my freshman year in high school. I beg to differ. University 101 is the most worthless class ever. That class accomplishes absolutely nothing. New Millennium Studies = University 101, essentially. If i'm right in assuming that University 101 is the basic "freshman must take this class that teaches you how to be a college student" class. Which just goes even further in showing how pointless it is because....What the hell does "new millennium studies" have to do with a freshman intro class. Furthermore, we've read two books so far that have NOTHING to do with each other. One was "persepolis," basically this giant comic book about the Iranian revolution, then "A Mid-Summer Night's Dream"...which makes perfect sense in a class called "NEW MILLENIUM studies" to read a play from 16-soap-dropping-hundred. Honestly, every day I go into that class we just sit there and the teacher drones on endlessly about things that are in no way related to anything we've read. /end rant
  22. Yuck. a 4 hour 15 minute class? Please tell me there are two classes there or something. Cause that would be horrid otherwise.
