  1. Wait, what? Hendry was willing to sign Matsui for like 15 million, but money is getting in the way of Tejada? Jesus, get this [expletive] out of Chicago. Why? That makes perfect sense. Tejada isn't nearly fast enough to deserve that kind of money.
  2. Doubt if anything official happens with this deal anytime soon. You would have to assume that this deal would hinge upon whether they can get a long term deal worked out with Santana. No way the Yankees are giving up Hughes, Kennedy and Cabrera for a 1 year rental. No, but I would love it a lot if they did.
  3. I've been following the talks over at orioleshangout.com, and the general consensus is that MacPhail is going to completely dismantle the team and start over. Bedard and Tejada are pretty much as good as gone. It wouldn't surprise me seeing Roberts traded as well. Does Cedeno, Pie, Marshall, and Veal get it done for Roberts and Tejada? We'd probably have to give a bit more. My only beef with trading Pie is that our outfield would be pretty terrible unless we could sign Fukudome as well.
  4. Ugh. I hate the idea that the leadoff guy has to be fast.
  5. We tried this once already, jim. His name was Juan Pierre and it didn't work out so well.
  6. He's certainly got some pop, or at least - he did. I don't know what happened to him but i'd give him a shot if it's in a purely Daryl Ward type of a role.
  7. Favre is the most popular player? Tom Brady anyone? I would think Favre still is the most popular. Peyton is more popular than Brady. Probably LDT too. Fair enough. You're probably right.
  8. Favre is the most popular player? Tom Brady anyone?
  9. You act as if we were expecting any.
  10. http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20030109/nfl_referee_50942.jpg Ask these guys.
  11. And there's the game. Go shake hands with the refs, jones.
  12. And you're completely ignoring the takeaway Al Harris should have had in the 4th quarter and the BS pass interference call? I haven't been watching this game extremely closely but when I am watching, every time the Cowboys have the ball, they're marching down the field without much of a problem. Romo's averaging 10 yards per attempt passing and Barber is averaging 5 yards per carry. You're not going to win many games when your defense allows that. Like I said, blame the Packer defense. no doubt that they aren't doing a great job stopping them. But regardless, the packers are down 10 and there have been a couple of completely B.S. calls that have lead to scores.
  13. For christs sake, bigby, keep your hand off his damn mask.
  14. I'd also like to point out that the spot of that ball was crap (that caused them to have a 4th down)
  15. Well, at least he made it. but still.
  16. I really don't like this call.
  17. the "forward progress stopped" call was particularly egregious in the first quarter... especially since one ref signaled that it was packers ball. Yeah that one was complete B.S. If (when) the packers lose this game the refs will have certainly had a big hand in the outcome.
  18. They've been on the cowboys jock all night. and now they give up the TD [expletive].
  19. Ah damnit. Nice late flag, their legs just got tangled, morans.
  20. What the hell, hawk. Cover him.
  21. I'll settle for a stop.
  22. Well, crap. waste of a good opportunity.
  23.
  24. THANK GOD
  25. Why is al harris playing like absolute dogcrap tonight?
