  1. But it's dusty - so it won't be. Surprisingly it will be. Micah Owings is set to pinch hit for him. lol How inadequate must you feel as a bench player for the Reds that your manager has chosen another pitcher to pinch hit for someone instead of you. I understand Owings is a good hitter, but come on. I <3 dusty so much (when he's not on our team)
  2. I second this. Nabbed him in the second round as well. Only about the 18 or 19th pick though.
  3. Johan Santana is a really good pitcher.
  4. DeRosa hit into a FC in his second at bat. Got saved from a DP because Sizemore was running.
  5. And I just realized over in the Indians/Texas game...Salty wears his helmet FORWARDS with his catchers mask? I dont think i've ever seen that.
  6. It's at somewhere around 114. The fifth should be his last inning in. But it's dusty - so it won't be. Surprisingly it will be. Micah Owings is set to pinch hit for him. lol

  8. They just called it at 110 a few pitches ago. Gotta be 115
  9. LMAO. Steve Phillips telling us how wrong the stats are by saying that Jeter isn't the worst SS in baseball while saying Utley isn't the best second basemen. Goes on to say he trusts his eyes more than stats. Granted defensive statistics aren't great, but still. lol.
  10. WTF was wright running for? I mean, yeah bruce bobbled but still
  11. LOL 103 already? I didn't even see that.
  12. Of course I bench salty in favor of Geo today and he's already 1/1 with 2rbi's. Geo better do some hardcore pimping tonight.
  13. They don't. Left field fills up far faster. The LINE into the RF bleachers is much longer, generally, however because it is closer to the Red line (CTA train), hense most people come from that direction and get into the first line they see. EDIT: and it's true you need to be there when gates open (2 hours before game time) if you want a seat in the first few rows. You generally need to be there at least an hour early to get a bleacher seat at all. If you don't get there till game time don't expect to find anything more than a single seat scattered here and there.
  14. I guess i can check that out, it's just weird because it happened in BOTH leagues i'm participating in.
  15. I wouldn't go so far as to say wrigley is a dump, but I can't fault Z for wanting to play in a more modern facility, either.
  16. Soriano Jersey-shirt, Fukudome home pinstripe jersey, and a home blue cap are my arsenal for the day.
  17. Definitely investing in the gameday app for my ipod touch. Only gets WiFi internet, but inside my school is where i'll need it, so that won't be a problem.
  18. :D No problem. Hope you enjoy opening day! I wont be working until the Friday game against the Cards. Stupid School.
  19. So, I started a couple players last night from the braves/phillies game and none of their stats are up yet on yahoo fantasy. In fact, no one in either of my leagues have any points....so did that game not count? I don't see an announcement anywhere but it just seems odd.
  20. He was very pleased with his outing on his blog: A day like so many others. :-)) Yeah, right, Alex. ...Sure wish i knew italian
  21. +1 I'm with butters in the camp of "wasn't counting down like I usually do," but now that it's here I'm pretty pumped :-D
  22. lol, yeah. Problem is anyone can do that. It is really awesome to sit there and watch pitchers (i.e. Zambrano) take BP and crush one after another onto the street. That's actually something that fan's can' do.
  23. Yep. Soriano does the "how many outs?" thing too. He makes for a surprising amount of entertainment. The dude gets bored pretty easily and likes to have fun with the bleacher bums. Seriously, say what you will about him as a player - but he's hilarious out there with those fans. He's one of the best about giving balls to kids, too.
