Glad to hear about Vasher, i really like his skills at CB especially in this defense. Im pretty confident Tillman will get signed too. Im really not worried about the Bears and the cap, they have plenty of room and the cap will continue to grow. The only albatross is Ogun and by the time his deal is up is when Harris is due his money so they will just reslot that money to DT. If the Bears trade A. Brown more cap room will be freed up. The only problem is if Rex goes out and puts up an amazing year, and that would be a great thing. Too bad about Tank, i liked him. It needed to be done though.

Another benefit of having guys in your system fill utility or even starting roles is payroll/roster flexibility. You control these guys for 6 years (3 non arby, 3 arby) without having to lock into 2-3 year deals. If the player hits the wall, you just send him down or DFA him depending on his service time and you dont have to eat guaranteed remaining years. Rusch, Jones, Eyre, Neifi, etc.

Mets fans are really fretting over their OF situation. Alou, Beltran and Green have all been banged up, while most think Alou is completely done. They've had a couple kids up but none of them have done much. I could definitely see them having interest in Jones. Hey Omar traded Kazmir for Zambrano so who knows what they would fork over... :) That was Steve Phillips I believe. Ah yes. He was off his rocker.

After they realized what had been called Hawk was complaing that Rapuano didnt make the 'dead ball' call immediately. So he began to refocus his ire on him for an inning. "There gonna sit down and talk to Rapuano about this one". The production of CSN was a load of crap to WGN (i watched the CSN on mlb.tv later, while watching the game live on WGN). In the bottom of the 8th inning the best CSN had of the video was from a first base dugout came where you can see Pagan slammin into Uribe. It was a very poor shot, they had one of those 'spotlights' on Pagan and the thing was all over the place. It was high school audio/visualesque. Thats BS! :D
