  7. How can you not laugh at all these roster moves.
  8. Classic Barry Bonds finishing swing pose after he knew he 'got it'. That was awesome.
  9. When the Cubs go in stretches like this i wonder if they will ever win again. The Cubs will break out but i hope its not too late and they arent too far behind. Thank god the Brewers are losing games too.
  10. tough one. Oswalt isnt going to rocked as badly as last time.
  11. Good luck and congrats on being a semifinalist. Only 1825 votes. when did the voting open.
  12. Soto stop being a productive hitter, you are now pissing me off. That was a surpise from Smardz
  13. lets see what ronny does with the riot on 3rd now. contact please.
  14. The only position he should see more than limited time is CF if he can play that well enough. LF:Murton>EPatt RF:Dero/Floyd>EPatt 2b:Dero>EPatt Maybe some limited times at 2b over Fontenot, but Fontenot doesnt need to sit the bench to get EPatt everyday starts.
  15. IF EPatt could play CF then this is something i could get excited about.
  16. Theriot/2b DeRosa/rf Lee/1b Ramirez/3b Murton/LF Pagan/CF Kendall/C Cedeno/SS Lets slam this lefty from the right side.
  17. Wait...they lost.....youve got to be kidding me. I stopped checking the score after they had a 6-1 lead in like 6th. Aweeeesome!
  18. For Fun: My Team of 8 Sammy Sosa clones vs your Team of 8 John Olerud clones. We are playing in the NL. 8 Sammy Sosa would instantly produce 528 runs just by jacking the ball out the yard solo in 159 games. 8 John Oleruds would instantly produce 192 runs with his homeruns (24HRs to adjust for Sosas PA advantage). the Sosa's have an advantage of 336 runs just by the solo home run alone. Each Olerud adjusted to account for Sosa's 722 PA would make 429 outs with an OBP of .450. 55 less outs than every Sammy Sosa* 8 players = 440 extra outs. So John Oleruds guys have 440 'extra' outs to make up the 336 Sosa solo home runs advantage. For every out they roughly need to make up 3/4 a run they are losing to Sosa's solo HR advantage. Want to put guys on base and see what happens? Roughly for every 24 HR Olerud would have a runner on .450=11 2 run HRs. Roughly for every 66 HR Sosa would have a runner on .370=24 2 run HRs Sosa would have more 3 run HR and grand slams too.
  19. Light Tower Power. Well unfortunately these 2 guys dont make enough contact or have enough strike zone judgement to take advantage of that. Im not ready to toss out Dope yet, although i dont think he deserves a spot on the 40 man. Harvey, thats another story, he hasnt done didly doodoo. Dope at least has that year in Lansing when he was 20 that looks good. Harvey is a terrible bust. Terrible. These 2 guys are good examples of my preference for players who control the strike zone and have good hitting fundamentals and then build on power as they age, rather than have massive power and hope they can make enough progress in the hitting fundamentals to take advantage of that. I think guys like Vitters who have great hitting talent and a good frame are a better way to go.
  20. I thought Lohse looked suprisingly good last time. i have a hard believe he can repeat that performance again.
  21. I agree with peoples comments on Bears being better this year. Another thing i feel was neglected in that article is the current players expected to get better. Its not atypical for rookies and 2nd year players to improve on their game from the previous year. Berrian, Grossman, Anderson, Bradley, D.Manning and even Benson i expect to be better players this year than last. I like the DT position better than last year. Walker>>Tank and Dusty and Adams are better fits for this defense than Boone/Scott. I have a hard time believing this team will create as many turnovers as last year but they will be giving up less yards on defense. This defense is going to be freaking bad ass.
  22. Yeah, you know it.
