  1. Vogelbach could end up with 30 homers and Law wouldn't put him in the top 100.
  2. Comps are really dangerous, but I don't think Scutaro is unreasonable at all.
  3. I'll say Pierce. No issues with anyone blocking him, and he's been dominant since the middle of his second start. Badler said he was advanced enough to the start the season there anyway.
  4. http://cdn2.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1586069/OGCPLYT.gif And a bonus .jpg: http://i.imgur.com/KWYhH9F.jpg
  5. It would be one game better than last year through 28. I'll take it.
  6. I'm wondering if Dunston has really improved enough to get sent to KC. They sent him to Boise to start last year and he really struggled.
  7. Looks like a horse jockey, hits like a boss.
  8. Yeah, I think Jackson would make the most sense from a pure baseball sense. His stuff would be nasty coming out of the pen. That being said, I think it will be Villanueva.
  9. Holy crap, a Cubs game where I haven't felt the need to take Valium.
  10. After his first start, Pierce has put up 17.1 IP, 3 ER, 18 H, 21 K, 6BB
  11. the [expletive]? I thought that was going to be way in the bleachers and the dude almost caught it
  12. I really wanted Rizzo to hit a HR off Cashner and start dancing around the bases. Maybe a few cartwheels.
  13. Nice answer, Jim. Don't bother talking about his pitches, makeup, pitchability, etc. Just tell us something everyone who follows prospects already knows.
  14. No one ever said they had anything against night games. I just enjoy day games better.
  15. Man, I really like Ben Wells, but I wish he'd start striking people out.
  16. I know night games are good for business, but fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu
  17. i havent looked surely they can't be that ba  Harvey's first minor league season was in Daytona ( #-o ), and he had a 5.1% BB rate and a 24.7% K rate. Baez is at 3.7% and 27.1%. Harvey didn't reach Daytona until his 4th professional season. Fangraphs just doesn't have MiLB stats that far back. The other important difference is that production never showed up for Harvey, his greatest full season OPS as a Cub was .786 at Peoria. Dopirak is the much better cautionary tale, he at least had the decency to mash in the Midwest League before flaming out dramatically in Daytona. Oops. Damn you, FanGraphs.

  19. Starling Peralta coming out of the pen.
