  1. Didn't even cross my mind. That's interesting.
  2. He did get a clean MRI and might not miss a start. So some hope.
  3. Ryan has one more year of control for '27, Alcantara has a relatively cheap $21 million team option for '27. Not young controllable arms but better than a rental.
  4. The SP market is gonna suck again. Very few obvious sellers, and anyone that is doesn't have a guy that's a worthy upgrade. Robbie Ray is OK, but is he that much better than his cousin Colin Rea that you would be willing to give up anything for him? I'm not sure.
  5. I know the ceiling on Kane Kepley is pretty low, but he has a .481 OBP through 50 minor league games. 50 BB and 30 K. Kind of nuts.
  6. this guy might as well be prime sandy koufax. cannot score against him
  7. Yep, Cubs had an xBA of .439 in that game. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=5/24/2025&gamePk=777791&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=scoreboard&sportId=1&liveAb=#777791
  8. I remember there being huge concerns about him hitting velo, and last night he hit a 98 mph heater above the zone out to dead center. He def passes the eye test as of now.
  9. thankfully Suarez is on the IL or he probably would have hit 3 homers in this game
