  1. Really? Harris was a quality (though not great by any means) safety for the Bears during the Super Bowl season. When he was traded, people didn't hate it because we still trusted Lovie at that point, and were kind of rolling with the Adam Archuleta idea. It was pretty clearly a mistake in hindsight. Pretty much. It's really selling him short to say that he showed nothing. Yeah seriously, that was a weird comment. I was a bit disapointed that they chose Harris as the odd man out, and thought he was fairly productive for us. And then he went to Carolina and got the reputation as a ball hawk. He wasn't a star, but he would have helped the last 3 editions of the Chicago Bears, that's for sure.
  2. Wha?? The Hawks finished with 112 points and the Canucks finished with 103 points...or do you mean that they had the same number of points when you take out shootout wins? Which is a really weird stat.

  4. That's odd. He had a surprisingly good rookie year with the Bears, then they trade him for what a 5th rounder, and the Bears preceed to have 3 years of glaring weakness at safety, then we trade back for him after he starts the later half of his most productive years. I thought the trade was odd to begin with.
  5. I'm definitely concerned, but I think we have to remember that the Hawks team we just saw for the last six games is not the team we are going to see on Friday night. Completely different styles, and they will (hopefully) be flying high. The only thing is everything needs to make sure they get back on defense because the Sedins will eat Niemi alive if given the chance. Same here. For the most part Nashville had to play over their heads to keep up with the Hawks, and to give them credit they did, but the Hawks did underachieved abit in the first rd series. Now that they get to face a real solid team, I think we will see the REAL Hawks team and IMO they will performed to their abilities. If they do, Vancouver has no shot. Yeah I agree about being concerned, but I'm also thinking that the Hawks will be a different team because they will be able to likely play a style that is more suited to benefit their abilities. This will be an extremely tough series though. Right now I'm thinking it's going to go 7 games, and I don't know who I am predicting to win yet. My head seems to lean towards Vancouver, but my heart obviously leans towards the Hawks. The Hawks are certainly good enough to win this series, but Vancouver is a better team than last year, and even last year we were fortunate to escape with a series win (although again last year we were good enough to win the series as well).
  6. The Nashville fan was being really annoying and stupid, but that's kind of a dick move ha.
  7. I still can't believe that Livan Hernandez beat us in a playoff game 3 years ago. Unbelievable.
  8. I joke about Luongo because we seem to own him (or did in the playoffs last year at least), but he's coming into this upcoming series red hot. It will be interesting to see how game 1 unfolds.
  9. Somewhere in Canada, Roberto Luongo woke up in a cold sweat.
  10. I imagine there will be some people that would disagree, but of the 3 playoff series we've won in the last 2 years, this felt like the hardest challenge.
  11. Niemi won a playoff series, how about that?
  12. GAME. SET. MATCH!!!!!!!!!!! GO HAWKS!!!! KILL THE CANUCKS!!!!
  13. How often do coaches draw up successful plays in timeouts like this? I've seen quite a few good chances coming out of TOs.
  14. Win or lose, the Hawks really did play this one like it was game 7, especially in the 3rd period. They are really laying their bodies on the line right now.
  15. I feel like this is game 7, the way this game is going. I don't know why... I hope the players are thinking the same.
  16. I can't even sit down right now.
  17. I am so nervous right now that I don't like playoff hockey, but if we pull this off I will only remember the last 2.5 hours as enjoyment.
  18. I don't think I'm gonna make it for another 8:54. I would really love a goal. Or a penalty on Nashville to kill a few valuable minutes.
  19. The refs are really trying to even up the calls from the 2nd period holy hell. We had literally 5 seconds of time at full strength.
  20. Their timing was like a half second off otherwise it's 5-3.
