Cole is well past his prime at this point. I prefer all of our current SP to him, even the broken versions of Yu and Q. Hard pass.

Despite playing 18 of their games in Coors, they're 13th in the League in runs per game. That's raw, without taking park factors into account at all. Their team OPS+ is 80. Yeah they suck. Their position players had a historically low wRC+ going in to the series in Wrigley a week or whatever ago. I don’t think much has changed since. It is surprising that they are that bad at hitting, and doubly so that they have managed a winning record while doing so.

i just don't know why you have to pretend like this isn't baseball, and that the cubs are pre-determined to be awesome. like kyle said, the 2015 nationals can happen to anyone. i shouldn't be predicting it to happen, but you shouldn't act like you know it won't. i think you want to be anti-meatball so much that you've basically become a new york sports fan. http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/goodday.gif

well they're both at 5+ right now and if they both have a 4+ era from this point forward, they have no chance at 93 wins They're on pace for 92 wins. You're right 94 would be out of the question lol.

This game is a make up for a game back in early April when the Cubs were lousy. Yesterday aside, the Cubs are no longer lousy. I am a firm believer in the power of gif themes. I am also a firm believer that the Wire is the greatest television show to grace 4:3 or any other aspect ratio you can imagine. So, do I think the Cubs can expose these Johnny Come Lately, look-at-us-we-are-temporarily-winning-the-worst-division-in-the-NL Braves for the farces they are?
