  1. I don't see the point of Blake DeWitt.
  2. Did the "baseball gods" walk Nix? coming into the game he'd walked 4 hitters and he has a whip of 1.27 and era over 6. he's getting f'd in the a. And so is Ian Stewart! Or maybe they just aren't good. If it's one year it's fine but this is a trend.
  3. Once again Soto continues to prove he is a worthless defensive catcher. And he can't hit either. What can he do?
  4. Maybe something is wrong with Ian's swing or something? I mean you just can't be that unlucky for two seasons. He has to be doing something with his swing that's making him hit balls right to defenders.
  5. More like a 1.7 Yeah I mean the thing is, we lack an ace and the question is, how do you find an ace? You don't see aces show up in the free agent market too often and we really don't have the minor league talent to trade for one so we're going to have to draft one. Maybe we find one in this year's draft when we pick 6th or maybe next year when we pick top 10?
  6. If we're planning on going for it sooner rather than later by signing a Cole Hamels then of course you keep Garza. A pitching rotation with Hamels, Garza, and Good Shark is pretty nasty going forward. Still don't see a true #1 there, maybe it's Hamels?
  7. http://gif.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/RONDO-REF-BUMP.gif
  8. Rajon Rondo might have just cost the Celtics the game and the series if he's suspended for that bump.
  9. Explain. This is the prime of his career in my opinion and this is a 90 loss team. I don't see the Cubs competing for the playoffs until 2014 at the earliest where he will be 31 and by the time we're competing for a World Series hopefully he'll be 34. Right now his trade value is at it's highest point and the Tigers are currently desperate for some pitching with the struggles that Rick Porcello and Max Scherzer have had lately. If we could get a 20 year old Jacob Turner and a few other young pieces (preferably pitching) for Garza, you need to take that deal. I love Garza but we need to trade him while his value is at it's highest.
  10. I'd trade him. He's not part of a future and we could get some good young arms for him. But yeah if you're going to extend him, you need to do it soon.
  11. He's playing good defense and getting BABIPed. He'll be fine. I know you're being sarcastic but his defense hasn't even been that good either besides a few nice plays.
  12. And he wondered why he was sent down to AAA.
  13. That's stupid, depressing, and has horrible grammar.
  14. he's done for 9-12 months.
  15. Torn ACL per Bulls
  16. We might not have to worry about him playing next year either!
  17. So who catches if Castillo gets a hammy? Didn't Jeff Baker used to be a catcher or something?
  18. Cutler, Forte, Hossa, Rose, Garza probably tears his rotator cuff next month. Don't forget Toews, Deng, Noah, and Rip who have all been hurt too.
  19. Soto is out with an injury. Castillo starts and bats 8th.
  20. Why not? Soto is not good and he's not getting better. He's 29 years old and is not part of our future. What's wrong with seeing what Castillo can do?
