Still watching the last bit of the news before the game... The girl reporter yelled out "Go Cubs!" right before the show went off the air, and then you could hear the whole studio erupt in laughter. Greatest thing ever.
alcohol poisoning I'm drunk and I still haven't cracked a smile in the last two hours, let alone a cheer. Keep drinkin' Until October. This whole season has done more damage to my liver than any damage that it's done to Wood's arm.
I don't think so. Why stop trying to score runs? I know it's unlikely the Cubs come back...but the game's not over yet. I believe that until the last out is made, a team should never try to stop scoring. If it upsets the Cubs, maybe the Cubs shouldn't play so bad. I totally agree. Just because another team sucks doesn't mean you should stop playing fundamental baseball.
These are the fans that the White Sox fans target as "typical Cub fans". The last time I was this dissapointed in a Cubs team was.... well, it was 2004. But still!
Yes, either their winning so badly, you laugh. or they're losing so badly, you laugh. I'll take the first one.. but still.. Nobody asked me, but I'm taking the second option. :drunken:
I fully plan on watching, but after seeing today's game thread...It's going to be a fully pessimistic JoshiQ. I don't care if anything good happens, there will be a negative comment.
BACK UP THE TRUCK! BACK IT UP! Turn this place into a parking lot. And in response to every first inning homer given up by our pitchers: It's too high!
If you notice.....the people saying the game and season were over aren't here anymore. There are 2 sides to everything. The people in this thread now are the people who don't make reactionary posts. WHOO!!! I'm not reactionary!
:P I got back from the pub at JUST the right time! I got back from the pub at JUST the right time! I've seen one inning. The Cubbies ruled it. Pretty sad that I'm so excited at ONLY being down 3 runs. Must be the beer.
