You can’t hide your best prospect in the minors forever. If there is an opening for someone who has pop, give him 2 weeks up here. He doesn’t have to play the field either. -
The baseball gods want big market teams to spend big and trade big and act like a big boy team. The Cubs are not that team.
-
That would not be the right move
-
He was too busy worrying about making the safe sign to hit the bag

Geez, Dansby

If Tucker’s finger is really bothering him, just bring up Caissie already and give Tucker some time off

On a good note, Brown’s curve is very well-located tonight

He’s setting the Cubs up to be sustainable lol

Glad Jed went after the “value” pitcher whose velocity had been dropping. There’s a reason why the other GMs don’t think he’s any good.

What four Cubs players are going to be DFA’d or sent to AAA?

Sorry - any starter

Would you take any Brewers position player over any Cubs position player right now?

The Cubs did a lot of things right at first. They worked counts and put pressure on the Brewers. But when Misiorowski left, the Cubs only got one run off an average pen. The good news is that the Brewers were forced to use 7 relievers tonight.

You have to pretty much wait until the last day for the big moves or else you have to give up too much
-
You work your entire career to be GM/President, have a really good team that is expected to win, get an extension, have money to spend and prospects to trade, have a few significant holes to fill, and you think he’ll just mostly sit on his hands? No.
-
Can’t lose the Misiorowski game up 3-0 early when he was on the ropes and was about to be pulled. Needed a big start from Boyd and didn’t get it. The Cubs need a nice clean win tomorrow.

The home plate ump is having a forgettable night
