    Good thing that the Falcons only have one defensive playmaker in John Abraham. I think this game is going to be a shootout.

    Yep, Caray is terrible. Embarrassing. Another thing I don't like about him is that every sort of big play sounds like the biggest play of the game for Chip. He doesn't know how to let the game and his call naturally crescendo.

    I really don't like Favre lately, but he is having an superb first half. I am going to be knowing that he won't be able to keep it up for a whole year. You can say, "He has Peterson this year," but he Jones last year who led the league in rushing and Favre still fell apart late in the season.

    I'm watching the WGN sports rap, and everyone is praising Lovie for putting Tillman on Johnson in the second half, but why was the bugger Tillman not on Johnson from the beginning?

    I don't know how anyone can be mad that the Marlins didn't make the postseason. They just don't have the talent to be a Wild Card, and they have no shot at winning the division with Philly there. Loria should be happy they were even in some form of contention the last two years.

    Why don't you like him? Disagreement in (admittedly perceived) philosophy. From what I have been able to glean, Sandberg preaches a more aggressive style. Was Sandberg aggressive when he played or did he wait for his pitch?

    You can bring in a new guy who can do just as good. I think the team will be better next year which will make the new hitting coach look good. But Hendry has to blame someone in the media. He has to make it look like he is doing something to better the team because they were such a disappointment.

    Didn't that happen once last year or the year before to someone else? I remember when Don Bebee tracked down a guy slowing down for a TD after an interceptions and knocked it out.

    So you're a fan of 3 of the last 4 Bears teams? (the 06 team only scored 46 but you know they were capable of 48 easily) I think this team will score 48 more than once this season They do play Detroit again. And with Hester in for the whole game hopefully.

    Like I said in last week's thread, Peter King named him his defensive POY one week. When was he cut? And for who? I know that Chris Harris played great last year too. I didn't blame the Bears for cutting him, but his talent really emerged last year.

    Gotta love Marinelli. The Bears are going to be leading the NFL in sacks after today. I'm sure glad he came over here. Now if Tommie Harris can ever get going. But it sounds like he is playing better.
