  1. For as good of a defensive PG as Paul is, I didn't see him do much on Rose last night. Paul needs constant screens to get a shot off. Reminds me of Heinrich.
  2. How about the Bears release Tommie and pick up Shaun Rogers?
  3. Losing on a goal tend would have been painful. I think it was goal tending actually.
  4. Get C.J. out now. He can't play against first string defenses. He must think he should play like his old days with the Warriors by just throwing up shots.
  5. Bulls are 11-0 in their division. When was the last time a team went undefeated in the division?
  6. They already have. Thibs benched Boozer for most of the second half about a month ago after Boozer got torched. Boozer was mostly professional about it, but you could tell he wasn't happy.
  7. I didn't think Dent was getting in this time, but good for him. Long deserved.
  8. LeBron with 23 in the first quarter. Great games on TNT tonight.
  9. Georgia Bulldawg fans here are very happy. They got pretty much everyone they wanted. Richt's seat was getting very hot, but I think this buys him at least two more years.
  10. I'm sure there were a bunch of them in the private elevator that went to a private second floor room at a high-end steakhouse.
  11. DID IT MENTION STAIRS?
  12. Wrong thread which way to the old information thread? I did not say that Collins' injury was new news. What I wanted to know is whether Lovie knew Collins was injured and took him out for that reason. Would he have stayed with Collins if Todd wasn't hurt? I didn't think that was discussed. If Lovie would have stuck with Collins and only went to Hanie because he was hurt, that decision is really inexcusable in light of what happened at Carolina. you presented two pieces of old information as news. you have a certain principal skinner-iness about you. Old information? The Cutler-steakhouse-stairs news was only reported a few hours before I posted it. No one had commented on Collins' injury as it related to him getting pulled yet. I wasn't aware that I you would get all over me for bringing up an angle about a story that was only a day old. You are just looking for a fight as you usually do.

  14. So Collins injured his shoulder on his last pass. Did Lovie know this and took him out as a result or did Lovie take him out because he was bad? I think the Tribune reported that Jay went to a steakhouse after the game. They had a private room on the second floor. Jay took the stairs. I'm sure more NFL players will jump on him for that.
  15. Not that this is a good enough reason to hate them as some fans do, but Bear fans want a real QB. They want the stud they have been waiting for since Sid Luckman. And when QBs show glimmers of home but don't get it done Bear fans get disappointed and take it out on their QBs. Grossman showed that glimmer early in 2006 and Cutler has been on and off since he got here.
  16. Or hump Ben Roethlisberger.
  17. Dan Bernstein said Lovie did a horrible job. He said that he should not have used the word sprained should have used "partial tear" so that some members of the media and idiotic fans would get off his butt. Sprained just sounds too soft because people don't know what it really means. It wouldnt have mattered what word Lovie used. Unless Cutler has surgery the idiots are going to say hes a [expletive] and he should have played. It is your job as an organization and as a coach to do everything you can to let people know the kind of injury he had. It was a very important news conference. Thats not their job at all. It really is none of the peoples business what kind of injury he had. It was a meaningless news conference. Then you don't understand PR because what is mostly what Lovie did today. And right now PR is huge because ESPN, newspapers, and every sports talk show in the U.S. is hating on Cutler.
  18. I really think the hate for Cutler comes from the fact that some people decided they didn't like him long ago. Now, whenever an opportunity arises, they're going to jump all over it as proof that they were right all along. There's really no way Cutler can win with such people. They just wait in the wings for the next chance to pounce. It's not in the least bit unusual for a team to say a player is questionable when an injury is being evaluated on the sidelines. But is is absolutely questionable not to tell Fox that he is out when they know he is out. The Bears just screwed up a whole bunch of little things that can turn into a big thing.

  21. Maybe this has been mentioned before, but part of the hate that some Bear fans have towards Cutler is that he was called "questionable" to come back in the game after the injury. That almost made it seem like he could have gutted it out. Why did the Bears say that his status was questionable when the doctors/coaching staff told him they were taking him out? Jay wasn't getting back in because he couldn't plant and throw. Lovie and the doctors knew that.
  22. The line was bad, but people keep forgetting that the Martz system is tough on lines, especially really young lines. They aren't as bad as they seem. Really this game could have gone either way. Rodgers could have scored more. He gave one to Urlacher that could have been a pick six. So could Briggs'. This game was won on the lines. The Bears couldn't pressure Rodgers, and the Pack had four sacks. And the Pack rushed for 120.
  23. Yep, the Packers were better than the Collins/Hanie led QB combo. I would never have believed the Bears could have lost to a QB who had no TDs, 2 INTs, and a QB rating of 55. But they did enough and made less mistakes than the Bears so I give them credit for that. Bears can't have 89 yards of penalties and allow 120 yards of rushing. They aren't good enough to overcome that. And they were down 10 minutes in TOP too.
  24. Asked how the knee felt, Cutler said: "It hurt." Asked why he played the first series of the third quarter and then left for good, Cutler said: "We gave it a go that first series but couldn't really plant and throw, so they kind of pulled me." Asked to clarify if he or the Bears' medical staff made that decision, Cutler said: "Yeah, I was going to keep playing. But they made the decision giving Todd [Collins] a shot would be better for the team." http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/tag?name=2010-nfc-championship
