  1. Rose could dress but not play on Friday I just heard on the Score. Why?
  2. That's a popular trope amongst Bulls fans. It's also incorrect. 2013 NBA Luxury Tax - $70,300,000 2013 Chicago Bulls Salary # - $74,201,011 http://www.blogabull.com/2013/2/21/4014614/chicago-bulls-trade-deadline-bulls-make-no-moves-will-pay-luxury-tax Shout out to knowing things. Ok you're right. But as far as getting a big name player not on the roster right now I think Reinsdorf made his intentions clear.
  3. That's why Reinsdorf hasn't gone into the luxury tax. I think he would have signed Dwight if Dwight wanted to come to Chicago. He's waiting for the right guy which is hard to blame. I can't blame him.
  4. Over the top means a player that gets them a championship. Nate doesn't do that. If the player or deal comes along that would, I think Reinsdorf would go into luxury tax territory. But he's not spending that to lose to the Heat. Doesn't get them a championship? With Rose and Thibs they already have a shot at the title. The goal every year should be to build the best possible team to contend using every possible resource available. If that means Nate Robinson, or some other player, so be it. Reinsdorf wants a player that makes the Bulls favorites to win a title. They haven't been favorites since Jordan.

  6. It's exactly what I'm talking about.
  7. Considering Asik was one of the top 5 centers in the NBA this year, you're getting in way over your head trying to prove an ignorant point. I'm not saying he's not good. Not $15 mil good on this team with limited minutes. He's not worth it to me when you would have had to say no to more important players. The Bulls already were great at low post D and rebounding with or without Asik.
  8. You don't sign a backup center for $15 mil a year. Who would the Bulls have been without for Asik's 20 minutes a game?
  9. Nope. The team is better because they spent that $ better. I really didn't see the defense taking a big hit without Asik this year.
  10. My point is that Asik was not worth $15 million to the Bulls. Nate won't be worth whatever he will get to the Bulls when you have a better version than Nate in Rose.
  11. Nate is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA. Asik was the best backup center and looked good when Noah was out, but don't overrate the value of a backup when he gets extra minutes. And Asik went on to Houston and excelled in a starters role as well. I really don't get your point. Some people look better when they start, but don't overvalue and overpay people if they aren't starting for you next year.
  12. Nate is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA. Asik was the best backup center and looked good when Noah was out, but don't overrate the value of a backup when he gets extra minutes. Yes Nate does things no one else on the team can do, but that's why you find someone else this summer.
  13. Robinson won't be important when Rose gets back. They won't need his scoring too much. He seems to really love this team and the city from the news conference last night, but others have and left. If he's too expensive, not a huge loss. Just wait until the 'Crap what is Nate doing game.' It will come.
  14. Media already saying Bulls don't need Rose and wondering who a good trade partner is
  15. I don't know if Hinrich and Deng will be able to bring the energy this team needs to win if they are coming back from injuries.
  16. Ha ha! What's stupid is that just because the Bulls try ridiculously hard, everyone assumes they have no talent. They are plenty talented, but they get that much more when they play with the effort they do.
  17. Were the Bulls ever close to releasing Robinson to keep from getting in luxury tax territory?
  18. Great game. The Bulls have been part of pretty much all of the best NBA games this year. Great playing, great coaching. I love me some Jimmy Butler. It would be amazing if he became the second scoring option and the stud the team needs.
  19. Adidas has to be totally pissed off too
  20. Bulls are saying they have no idea what's wrong with Deng
  21. Who knows for sure. But I wonder if he made his mind between the time he was medically cleared to play and the playoffs that he wasn't going to get over the mental hurdle. But his mind is sure OK when it comes time for practice.
  22. Adrian Woj saying sources with direct knowledge of Rose's situation say he is out for playoffs. Sounds like Rose knew he would be out but wanted to keep everyone guessing, didn't think the pushback in the media would be this bad, and now is going to end the talk of him coming back by just saying it. Just another reason why you can't have friends and family influencing you to this degree. LeBron won a championship to help people get over the decision. Pippen sitting out for that one play had multiple championships and Jordan to deflect his poor judgment. Rose doesn't have that. I think his brand will take a hit. The thing that is most infuriating is that Rose is smoking everyone in practice. We know he can play.
  23. He deserved it after losing game 7 to a team that played Marquis Teague at the point and Daequan Cook at the 2 in non-garbage time minutes He deserved it years ago. He was a bad coach when Sprewell choked his ass. They played really well under him when he took over during the regular season. He had to go to the Easter Conference Finals to keep his job and they didn't have the talent to do that.
  24. If Hinrich and Deng somehow manage to get healthy and Wade is playing pretty banged up, do the Bulls have a shot?
