  1. I am definitely more upset about losing Snider. He would have been around for much longer and he was already "committed." As much as I was starting to believe Alexander was going to choose Illinois, Kansas was always the most logical possibility. I don't think the hat fake would have even really bothered me if it wasn't for the fact that it was the 2nd time that day we were sort of embarrassed. We lose a guy the in the morning (once again last minute like Gordon) and then get made fun of by Cliff. Literally 24 hours earlier everything was looking great. We had some really good recruits already on board with the possibility of adding a complete team changer. Then not only do we not get cliff, but we lose one we had... fantastic. Also, the hat fake would be a little less annoying if it was in the Okafor situation. If you fake Kansas out and then pick duke, Kansas fans are mad for about 4 minutes until they have to settle for the number 3 player in the country. Illinois was thinking they might be back, then get made fun of by one of our own state's recruits...
  2. Man I wish there was any sort of public pressure for Chicago kids to go to Illinois. But no, there seems to be more influence to leave.
  3. He basically said, " I know this is their first moment and their big moment, but these coaches bust their butts and you don't need to play games. That isn't fair to John Groce. He is going to be a beast, but lets not start things off like that."
  4. Seriously. Hey what do you know, we lose another player to his hometown school and then two guys from chicago go anywhere else but their hometown... and he has to troll the fans like that.
  5. I probably would have as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trestman used statistical evidence to make that call.
  6. what is with fumbles going right back to the other team lately?

  8. Schwartz is so unlikeable.
  9. Watching Saints. What you talking about? Jermichael Finley took a really big shoulder hit to the head from a safety while making a big first down catch (which he then dropped). Got up, ran 10 feet, and had to lie down for probably a couple of minutes. No penalty called Aside from the fumble and the int (and the int was bad), Bengals look very good. Finley getting up and then stumbling around looked bad, but the hit didn't look too bad to me. The replays looked like the defensive player was sort of holding up and it was just finley in an awkward position. In fact, I am sort of surprised that he looked like he had a concussion from the hit. Maybe it was when he hit the ground. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kjAQaSSbtSE/Uj8pY5p_2WI/AAAAAAAABAQ/oc3aJo7iXYs/s400/finley11.gif
  10. Yeah, in real time that looked strange and that it wouldn't stand. But I am not seeing anything to overturn. It is amazing that he and Marshall can drop some easy ones, but yet catch the two they did on that drive. On Marshall's, he was screened by the defender and the second he had an inch of space, the ball was right on his hands.
  11. ESPN just seems to be getting more embarrassing all of the time. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/looks-espn-behind-those-stop-clowney-signs-down-215439498--ncaaf.html
  12. What's your point? The Packers will still win the division easily because they have the best QB in the league no matter who they put out there on the line. I agree in that the packers will most likely win the division. But to be fair, in the season you referenced, they had to win the last game of the season (one possession game against a bears team with nothing to play for) to scrape into the playoffs. They finished the season 10-6, tied with two other 10-6 teams that were left out. Injuries very easily could have kept them out that year.
  13. Love Bennett. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4684267/bennett-targets-chemistry-with-cutler
  14. The one run the yankees did get came from gardner reaching base on a comebacker to garza, who then threw it into the ground and about 8 feet wide of first base. Gardner got to third on the throwing error. Just garza being garza.
  15. Yes. I know a lot of fans think the Bulls should trade the pick--and they can if they get good value, but some people are fine trading it for average players that won't change anything. I am completely fine waiting this thing out with the confidence that the Bobcats will continue to be terrible and hoping for a top pick in the future. That is the the kind of thing that can completely change a franchise... not some trade for Jason Thompson.
  16. He still needs to celebrate. This was literally the only thing good about their championship last year: http://thebiglead.fantasysportsven.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/bosh-celebrate-2.gif
  17. His lack of jawline is stunning. I really hate that guy. He reacts to everything like an annoying fan. I don't know any other assistant coaches who are that annoyingly visible/unprofessional.
  18. I know they just had two 7 game series... and that the spurs were a worthy opponent, but I don't feel like the Eastern conference was (or should have been) hard for them at all. They got a bulls team missing half their players--and their best one-- and then the Indiana pacers, who are decent, but shouldn't challenge the heat.
  19. One of the things I hate the most. Especially Allen. "Hey, we are already awesome, but lets steal one of the best players from one of our biggest rivals to make it even easier."
  20. Of course Battier makes everything tonight and that Chalmers 3 goes in. I am expecting all of it at this point.
  21. Wade's laziness in getting back helped them there as well. He got the cherry picking dunk.
  22. I don't like the way this is going for the spurs. Even though it has been close, Miami seems to be missing makeable shots whereas San Antonio is struggling to get good shots.
  23. It was frustrating but it was Boston pulling [expletive] out of their ass. They totally meant to bounce one off the glass over the net. Set play. i didn't see it, but that's not really a "set play", it's usually something guys will try once in a while and see if they get a fluke bounce. I am pretty sure he was joking.
