    I think he's perfectly fine. The 3 man booth when they do it is unnecessary but doesn't really bother me that much anymore. If they can stay within the JD, Boog, Dempster, Mowens, and Hughes group I'll be happy. Myers, Grace, and Ryno (he's unavoidable) are absolutely terrible

    And in order to get a good SP we're probably gonna end up giving up the same or more than we got in return for Darvish anyway. And this team deserves to be buyers. There's a lot to be positive about in terms of changes to player development and under the radar acquisitions. But the organization should be absolutely ashamed of that trade.

    What a fun game I was expecting to be a little more impressed by Stewart's stuff (or at least velocity) than I was but I guess he did get a horsefeathers ton of groundballs so that's good.

    Still a little annoyed w the overturned call. It might have seemed like he beat the throw, but if they had that secret NY-only view with his toe on the base, the review wouldn't have taken that long.

    Looks like Alcantara was PH for at Iowa. I assume he'll be Nico's replacement. He seems like he could be interesting, right? Either way that hammy looked like a bad one

    Jake can still throw some good breaking stuff but man that fastball is just begging to get hit

    Miss a horsefeathering bat for once. Busch Stadium is saving him

    Kind of an important game for May. In a season where the bats might have turned a corner of sorts and the bullpen looks fantastic, and when Darvish just tossed 7 strong innings amid his great season, we are turning to Zach Davies instead. Thanks Tom!

    Nico already has 5 DRS in less than 100 innings at 2b this year. In his mlb career he has 11 DRS over like 35 games at that position. I really wanted Kolton Wong this offseason but I'm glad we're getting to watch Nico progress instead. And he's probably the better defender.

    Beth Mowins (and Joe Davis for that matter) have that Brockmire-ish, cheesy announcer voice thing. I think they're both fine but it always cracks me up.

    There is not a hitter on the planet I fear more with runners on base than Adam Frazier

    It's hard to fathom that he'll finish with a career OBP not even within shouting distance of .400 and a BA under .300. That would've seemed almost impossible. His baseball reference page is really something.

    I know the joke about that being the one time Heyward doesn't ground out to 2B is too easy there but come the horsefeathers on with that AB. wait I'm behind. Go Duffy!

    I was actually kind of confident the rotation would be OK, mostly because I thought Kyle and Davies would combine for a 3.50 ish era (and those two, especially Kyle will probably figure it out) but YIKES

    Man replay frustrates the hell out of me. He very well might've been out and was definitely a stupid play, but I figured the all important call on the field would've been the difference with those looks.
