  1. What were his postgame comments tonight? Very generic, followed by a big smile before he left.
  2. Did I miss something? Or does black man getting uppity automatically qualify as race card?
  3. Cubs fans are idiots. Ibanez is a worse defender than Bradley and has been terrible lately. Bradley's closing fast.
  4. it's not that bad as far as his production, but given his demeanor, relatively poor season (except for OBP) and injury history, he's a significant risk and nobody is going to take on his contract at full value. And they're wrong to not want to take that on? what are you talking about? who said it was wrong for nobody to want milton's contract? just saying that you seem to think it would be stupid for the cubs to rid themselves of bradley and his contract, but then you also say it would be nearly impossible to do it. if it's a contract that you think is worth keeping, why wouldn't any other teams think the same thing? Because we all realize that you can't just dump his contract. You waver back and forth between pretending we can just dump his contract and thinking it's a good idea to eat a chunk and still dump him. I have no clue what you're even talking about. Loved the [expletive] eating grin after his postseason interview though.
  5. I don't understand how in the same post outlining their similarities you can say they K at different rates, and on contact hit the ball differently. If every toolsy SS who doesn't walk a lot were the same, then 90% of toolsy SS are the same. You(and Meph) are acting like people are expecting Castro to hit 400 in AAA. What does Cedeno's AAA line have to do with anything? We're supposed to be disappointed that Castro isn't likely to put up Cedeno's absurd AAA line?
  6. Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others! As has been stated by others he can't win. If Milton just went about his business, never showing any emotion, gave the cliches after the game, he "wouldn't care" now that he's gotten his big contract. I don't see what his salary has to do with anything. The guy's not out there punching teammates and giving up on the season. He's doing exactly what he's paid to do to the best of his ability. The fact that he's not happy with fan's reaction to him is an issue because he makes 10M? If Koyie Hill complained about how people react to him it wouldn't be as big of a deal?

  8. And to not retire the # of one of the best Cubs in the numbered era is stupid.
  9. I don't buy that at all. The media reported the truth about Bradley's history. Maybe we should have listened. They didn't make anything up about him -- he's been a cantankerous jerk everywhere he's been. Did you expect the writers not to question whether he would be a good fit or whether he was worth the headaches? This. There's a reason he's been through so many different teams in his career. Nobody wants to put up with his crap. Except for all of his teammates that loved him. Since ya know, he gives his all and tries to win every game. Just seems odd that you can get all pissy and offended that Milton is complaining about the fans or the umps, oh grow up Milton, stop complaining Milton!! How bout you grow up? How bout you stop complaining about how a guy carries himself? Why does it bother you that he's upset by fans not liking him? Why does it bother you that he gets pissed about a bad strike zone? Why does Milton have to be this virtuous individual and you can go on season over rants around the 2nd week of the season and do nothing but pout about virtually everything?
  10. Great message to send to his players: "We can't play UNC! Nooooooo!!!! " isiah Thomas is a [expletive] ass. How he continues to get jobs is beyond me. I bet he'll recruit very well, and then it'll end in a bad way. Thomas might get out before the hammer comes down, but he'll definitely attain pariah status. (moreso)
  11. I think a healthy Soriano would go a long way towards improving OF defense.
  12. It was Bradley's 4th start at Wrigley. He had 54 PAs on the year. I can't blame a sensitive person from getting upset about being booed in his home park that early in the year. He was injured, in April, you're booing a guy for being hurt? Everyone knew he was injury prone. The worst part of this offseason is going to be when Bradley gets traded (with a signification portion of his contract picked up) for trash.
  13. I'd bet that if he contributes to the big league club next year it will be in the bullpen. Well yeah, but 4 months in the rotation in AAA followed up by 2 months in the big league pen would still be a big jump in innings.
  14. If they have an eye on Cashner helping the big league club next season, I think this is necessary to stretch him out for a full 6 months worth of work.
  15. I Remember that game that Milton brought pop-up books and a baggie full of a cheerios out to RF.
  16. He's up at 87.1 right now. Should be a shade over 100 by the end of the season. I don't have too big a problem with this as they're not stupid with him in AFL.
  17. Hypothetically, if it was something career ending, would the Cubs still be responsible for the remainder of his contract or would some kind of insurance take it from there? What are they gonna decapitate from the knee down? I hope he has surgery and is out for the rest of the season so that he'll actually be healthy next year.
  18. What kind of racist crap is that? Exactly my point. They only go after either the black guys or hispanic players. That crap is getting old. I guess you missed the Todd Hundley and Aaron Miles boos. I think he was talking about laziness/not caring, which I've never seen attributed to Miles(and I always remembered Hundley's criticisms being a drunk) That and Miles and Hundley were terrible, whereas it doesn't take bad output for a minority player to be viscerally hated.
  19. The first reference to Milton getting booed on this site was May 3rd. Bradley's 16th game played.
  20. I didn't see the same leeway that you did coming from the people packing the stadium. The boos started early, and never really went away. I'd compare Milton's treatment to Jacque Jones's.
  21. You don't need Sullivan around to realize Milton is a jackass cry baby. I think he's a passionate person who wears his heart on his sleeve. Yes, and when things go bad he makes excuses, cries about how he's treated, exaggerates about how poorly he's treated. You can be passionate without being a jackass cry baby. I'd imagine most professional athletes point the finger when something goes wrong for them. Milton just has no inner monologue. When you're one of the best in the world at what you do, you think you are. And didn't Milton essentially come out earlier in the year and say, "I've sucked this year?" Unless Bradley played at an all-star level this season, the fans decision was already made for them by the media.
  22. You don't need Sullivan around to realize Milton is a jackass cry baby. I think he's a passionate person who wears his heart on his sleeve.
  23. What he said. Quit being a prima donna, earn your paycheck, and [expletive] HUSTLE. A 3-step process to becoming loved by Cub fans. Bradley hustles more than probably every other guy on the team. If you can't see that, you're not paying attention. I've never seen anybody be so happy to get a walk as Bradley. What is that supposed to mean?
