  1. Of course it's appropriate. Don't be ridiculous. This specific situation is very far outside the norm though, and at its core involves issues that a) we're not privy to, and b) can't be boiled down to statistics. It doesn't fit neatly into the sabermetric box where you input OPS and WHIP and UZR and WARP and whatnot, and out comes your standard format thumbsup/thumbsdown answer. But nevertheless that's how some here have chosen to analyze it. Statistics are the record of what has happened on the field. As I've been asking for the past 6 months or so, I'm looking for somebody anywhere to show me how the statistics show how Bradley hurt the team on the field(beyond his own sub-par season) Nobody has given me an answer to that. I don't give a [expletive] if Ryan Theriot's feelings are hurt if he's producing. As I said, what we're discussing here can't be boiled down to statistics, as much as we may wish it could. "Not everything that counts, can be counted" -- Albert Einstein Let me ask you this. Can Jackie Robinson's impact on baseball be determined by statistics? So if the bad chemistry of Bradley isn't shown in the on-field performance, where is it on display? And why should I care?
  2. Lunardi does his bracket as a snapshot of the current date, regardless of future schedules. If we go 0-2 from here, I think he'd have us out.

  4. What you do know is very little. That immediately calls into question the conclusion that your theories and assumptions can be characterized as "perfectly reasonable". I prefer "completely speculative", personally. We know plenty. Thinking that there's something horrible that Milton did that has been totally hidden and necessitated his being moved is not realistic given who runs this team, how this team is run and how they've dealt with variations of this issue in the past. Please explain how much you know? All I know is what has been reported through the media and to claim the fans would know everything about the day to day interactions or problems is ridiculous. What's been reported through the media? I've seen nothing reported by the media that shows Bradley cost the teams wins with his attitude. The guy's a jerk, oh well.
  5. Do you feel it's appropriate to question any decision Jim Hendry makes? Obviously, none of us are going to have the same access to information that he does since he's on the inside? Should we swallow down each [expletive] sandwich cause he knows stuff we don't?
  6. I'm still waiting for somebody to explain how Bradley's miserable attitude cost the team games. The hilarity in that, is that the go-to explanation on that is people comparing their jobs to professional baseball, all while davearm makes the "you weren't there" argument
  7. Lunardi still has us in??? I think we're in provided we beat Wisconsin on Sunday, too many quality wins not to get in plus, if past precedent means anything, I can recall an 18-13 or so, Arizona getting in last year. Arizona had just as many big wins last year without the disaster losses we've had. I think we need to win 2 in a row vs. Wisconsin. Hopefully Lunardi has good info.
  8. Every Cubs fan I know in person (i.e. not people on this board) had the exact same thing to say about the Bradley/Silva trade: "I'm just glad he's gone." Most people don't want to think about the other stuff. They just don't really care, or want to be told why (I think) they should. Most people don't know anything about baseball. My friends are all idiots when it comes to this stuff.
  9. Oh gee what a travesty I put an a instead of e. You still alive or should I call the paramedics? How fat are your claws that you mistakenly type a instead of e. As a xournalist I'd think you know how to [expletive] pluralize a word.
  10. you know exactly what i'm talking about. the people who are incapable of criticizing him when he's clearly in the wrong. The issue are the [expletive] lunatics who want the guy to suffer eternal damnation because he spent one miserable year with the team.
  11. He was also the one involved with Sherron Collins and Anthony Longstreet.
  12. If I squint enough I could find at-larges from those conferences. I still think when I take a closer look at it, the Pac 10 is going to wind up with more than 1 regardless of who wins the tourney.
  13. The WAC as well with Utah St.(who is far from a lock IMO) I could see an argument that the WCC is 1-bid if St. Mary's loses in their 1st game while Gonzaga wins it.
  14. Lunardi still has us in??? 10 seed. Richmond in Rd 1, New Mexico/Morgan St in Rd 2. In San Jose. Morgan St. might beat New Mexico
  15. To piggy back onto this, other potential 1-bid leagues: MAAC, Colonial, MVC, C-USA, Pac-10 I like the scoring and minute balance of Murray State as much as the next guy, but I think the OVC belongs somewhere on this list. Murray was right on the borderline of my first list. I couldn't see myself giving an at-large but I could listen to arguments for them. Their problem is to not get an auto-bid, they'd have to lose to a terrible team.
  16. Lunardi still has us in???
  17. I think he's a bad guy. I think he has serious issues stemming from his childhood, that he should've gotten help for a long time ago. I think he immediately thinks the worst about people, and has problems trusting anyone.
  18. We should murder him
  19. Get the hell out of my consideration group Lipscomb
  20. What? The Iowa job isn't close to the Indiana schools, the Michigan schools, Illinois or Ohio St. It's Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin in a group after that.
  21. im assuming we're not in this comparison because black and gold are actually pretty sweet colors, right? a different level of hell is reserved for mizzou Agreed, but what about people who cheer for the Tigers? Awesome.
  22. Mine was funny cause Pierre Pierce actually raped a girl and Steve Alford encouraged the girl not to take it to court. Greg Brunner bout to be ugly all over
