  1. Castro's head peeks over the horizon. Yeah! God damn you Theriot for hitting a hard line drive. Damn you straight to Hell! Are you really going to make this post after implying every hit Z gave up was his fault??
  2. There's a 0% chance you would be complaining if either you were a Braves fan or if Heyward was on the Cubs. I hated when ESPN jocked MJ. No, wait, you're right that was pretty awesome. No it wasn't
  3. we won 97 games two years ago, and threads were worse than this... there's something about posting in the same message board the brings out the worst in us '08 game threads were so embarrassing.
  4. The 2007 breakout season you reference was probably the worst full season he's had. He's got a lot of miles on his arm, which should explain some of it. He's become a different pitcher though. Used to pitch more to contact in '03 and '04.
  5. I've been on the Z bandwagon his entire career, but I think it's about time to cut ties. He's far too much of a headcase to be relied on for any sort of superstar performance. Unless it's the playoffs where Z's been great in his last 2 starts. (Unless you're a buffoon and consider that inning where he had to get 14 outs his fault)
  6. A perfect game with 11 strikeouts or fewer is incredibly lucky on the pitchers part. That's why they are so rare. I'd imagine the majority of shutouts have 11 Ks or fewer.
  7. No. Because this isn't his fault, you know. Those balls weren't hit all that hard. Or the sun was in his eyes. Or he's depressed. Or something. Nobody's saying that you psycohpath
  8. Yeah, it didn't take long for me to remember that I don't like Theriot. My guess is he'll rack up a solid negative UZR number this year after last year's decent showing on D. Well, I expected no less from Z on opening day (why do they even start him on opening day? one win out of six, really?) but on the bright side we get to see what Marshall can do as essentially a second starter and we're only down another Marlon Byrd 3-run HR? Theriot started that cluster [expletive] of an inning, catch that flyball and it could be a completely different outcome. Z looked decent, they had 3-4 hits that totaled less distance than Heyward's homerun that inning and they were all hit extremely weakly. I imagine we are only a couple years away from Ryan moving off of shortstop to a spot he can actually play. backup SS?
  9. I don't have it on TV, but all I'm reading is single to shallow OF, single to shallow OF, single ON A POP UP. Looks to me like he walked a couple gave up a big HR, and got dinked and dunked.
  10. 2006 and 2010 now for me. So I can blame you guys for the 2006 title game... :x I blame Sean May for every title game that doesn't end the way I want.
  11. I don't know if you'd call it a study, but we looked into it here, and saw there was no real difference in what starter you faced. It's common sense with teams juggling rotations, off-days, doubleheaders, injuries, that there's not going to be a correlation.
  12. That's what happens when you play for the Royals. or when you are out of baseball for a year. Same thing, amirite? The Royals are arguably the 2nd best franchise in American League history. amirite? What??
  13. Isn't Kotsay's only value his defense?(Or did that fade?) Why is he DHing and hitting 5th?
  14. And I don't endorse you murdering Bud Selig.
  15. I'd be pretty surprised if South Carolina wasn't considered Atlanta territory.
  16. Oh and I wouldn't mind an FCC split, cause I definitely don't want that topic to die, but I need the full spotlight on me when the Celtics steamroll the Cavs in the 2nd round
  17. $1,000 fine for missing station ID= almost $20,000. I almost make $100,000,000 per year with this math. That's for missing it once. If you have inexperienced DJ's who don't know the seriousness of playing them and thus you miss it multiple times you can rack up a huge fine. The FCC will fine you for each miss if they happen to be listening and they can sit and listen for weeks counting each miss. There is no protocol to my knowledge. But none of this happened.
  18. Get ready for a whole lot of annoying sigs.
  19. The spread was 25 points on the UConn game tonight.
  20. This is [expletive] ridiculous.
  21. That was angel hernandez. It should come to be expected at this point. Yeah, I see they've scrambled the umpiring crews again this year. I dont know who the other two are, but with Joe West and Angel Hernandez this has to be one of the worst in baseball. Might as well throw CB Bucknor in there too and get as many worthless umps in one place as possible. This crew is: HP: Joe West, cc 1b: Angel Hernandez 2b: Paul Schreiber 3b: Rob Drake. Last year, West's crew was...... Joe West Paul Schrieber Paul Nauert Jeff Kellogg While Angel Hernandez was on Tim Welke's crew....... Tim Welke Bill Welke Angel Hernandez Jim Reynolds Isn't Rob Drake known for picking fights?
  22. But you're 9-9 in games he's played in, and 29-29 in games he hasn't.
  23. So it's not the completely different story that Kyle linked then? Can you point me in the right direction or did this former mailroom employee of the FCC sign the same confidentiality agreement all your sources do.
