  1. Bukie's pissed that Memphis and Bama are still out there.
  2. Good, the Davis family can rot.
  3. For my bottom 12, I assumed the best case scenario for each of the teams, which skewed against teams like Cleveland State and Missouri State as they can't improve themselves any further.
  4. 1) TOP 12 CONSIDERATION 2) REMOVE 3) TOP 14 TOTAL 4) NEXT 8
  5. I'm finishing off my 12 from the under consideration pool. Not pretty
  6. I think a lot of what it is, is Bloggers sending info into Yahoo Sports and having them connect the dots. Yahoo also isn't in bed with the NCAA like ESPN is with their billions of dollars of tv deals. yeah and what does Y! have to lose. in the last 5+ years, i don't think i've used Y! for anything but fantasy sports and CFB investigative reports. I find it real convenient for checking scores without having to go to ESPN I always have, but they've been pretty spotty lately when there are a lot of games going on. They were way behind today and Saturday on NCAA scores
  7. Burr and Higgins need to lose their jobs. Seriously. You could've wrote this response to pretty much any post on the board and it would've been no less true
  8. the rumor is impermissible benefits What "charity" does his father run?
  9. Nebraska loses, they should be done.
  10. that's disappointing. bertrand is going to be really [expletive] good. That's just my speculation, but you figure he's already behind Paul, DJ, and Head. Then you have Henry and Abrams coming in most likely ahead of him, plus Richmond getting some time at the 1 next year, it doesn't look there's much room for him.
  11. Bradley PG Sam Maniscalco likely to Illinois for his senior season next year. (He will not have to sit out due to the newish rule regarding grad school programs after completing your degree) Should be a capable backup, but probably not looking good for Bertrand sticking around.
  12. Part of the appeal of monster contracts is a matter of pride for the player and precedent for the agent. I'd imagine most would prefer a backloaded deal for extra 5M total value than frontloading for less total contract dollars. How the Cubs budget the money is a different story. If they want to give out a 9/270, and pay him 30M per, it's not a terrible idea to take an extra 8M put it in the Pujols fund and collect interest, then 6M the next year, and so on down the line. Put it as 38M in your budget, but only pay the player 30M of it.
  13. not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4? Ideally Reinsdorf wouldn't be alive to see them
  14. 1. Baseball contracts won't continue rising at 10%, there's a ceiling to how much money is out there. 2. Why would that matter when it came to the value of the contract?
  15. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd take an at-large George Washington, Tulsa, or UCF.
  16. I can't really quibble with Villanova and Mizzou being locks, but they seem to be the clear bottom feeders of that group. (Maybe A&M and UCLA as well?) Villanova absolutely collapsed down the stretch, losing 7 of their last 9 with their only wins being over Seton Hall by 3 and DePaul in OT by 2. They've got 3 bad losses, but way too many good wins to consider pushing out. I like Xavier and Washington out of the consideration pool
  17. It's a coming bukie
  18. He didn't even mention Northwestern St.
  19. Fiver demands more smoke.
  20. I'd imagine an 8 point win over a middle of the road team at home isn't very beneficial
  21. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/tennesseefacebook.jpg
  22. THEY'RE FINISHING STRONG!!! (by playing the bottom of the Big 10 down the stretch)
  23. Not much for games of interest today. Connecticut and Villanova need to avoid nightmare losses to avoid dropping a couple seeds. Marquette needs to beat Providence to feel confident Milwaukee can possibly steal a bid by beating Butler. Princeton can force a 1 game playoff vs. Harvard with a win, but I kinda doubt Harvard is being considered as a serious at-large candidate.
  24. Never been to Scott's pet shop?
