Why would we get those guys to make lateral moves here? Especially with a new GM and Lovie's status up in the air. Two years ago you couldn't even get position coaches to take the job, which is why they settled on Martz.

Considering the best offenses in the league today feature a dynamic TE(i.e. Finley, Graham, Gronkowski) yes, yes we are.

But that offense was still 9th in points scored and 15th in total yardage when Cutler was healthy. Only after they browbeated Martz, again, to run the ball more, and shorten the drop backs. The offense was not good to start the season.

LOL, Martz can go back to the unemployment line nobody is hiring him. In a league where you have dudes like Jimmy Graham and Gronkowski tearing it up, revoultionizing the position, you have Martz, who wants to phase out the TE. You need a hall of fame left tackle to protect in his scheme. It's just not a good offense for todays NFL.

I really think one of the major straws that broke the camels back was the Sam Hurd incident. It embarrased the organization, and you can claim you didn't know about the guy, but in any organization, if you make a major hire and it backfires like that, someone has to pay.

That article isn't accurate at all I don't have the exact number, but I'm pretty sure he isn't 50+ games over 500 as bears GM

I see on ton of meatballs on twitter, other message boards, etc clammoring for Bill Polian. Are people still stuck 10 years ago when he drafted Peyton Manning and Edge? The past five years, there hasn't been a worse team in the draft than the Colts. Take a look at those drafts from 2005-now. It's awful. On top of that, at least Angelo new some of his draft failures and traded for Cutler and threw money at Peppers. The Colts have ignored FA, thinking they had their own pipleline.

Off the top of my head, I wouldn't mind DeCosta(sp?) from Baltimore. They always seem to have really good drafts.

I certainly hope they are not simply givng the job to Tim Ruskell. I'd rather have Angelo tbh.

Didn't surprise me. Polian has arguably been the worst GM in football the past 5 years. Look at his drafts. And despite the bad drafts, never tried to bandaid it with any big name free agents.
