This is a guy you want on your side. Great counter argument, or not. How is it any different than rating the defense of a player in baseball soley based on errors? Just as some players with poor range never get to the ball "to make an error"....slow or short WR's sometimes never get in position to make a catch, that a bigger or faster WR would, and subsequently lead to the possiblity of a drop. Your little chart was pretty, but that's about it.

I don't put a whole lot of value into those charts. For instance, there are some pretty crappy WR's on that first chart(lowest drop %). Secondly, 8-10 less drops, over the course of 3 seasons, drops Bowe off that "worst" list. Not to mention what defines a "catchable" ball? Vincent Jackson I'm sure has had a more accurate QB over that time. That data is inconclusive. Also to note, that Vicent Jackson has two "DUI" strikes. How many games is Ginger going to suspend him if he gets a third?

Martz is not a diciple of the West Coast Offense, he's a disciple of the Don Coryell+Sid Gillman offense, it orginated in San Diego, but isn't the WCO that Walsh is credited with.

That's entirely possible. What we do know is that before Emery was hired, there were tweets from Bears beat reporters that "Bates was out". These weren't rumor type tweets, they were reported as fact, as if someone inside told him this. Emery is hired and all of a suddent Bates is in. So if Angelo was indeed the problem, again, great that he is gone. Bates is clearly the best candidate at this point. He would be the best candidate even without the Cutler connection, I mean some of the guys they were talking to..yikes.

Does this Bates hire have any of Emery's fingerprints on it? Remember as a couple weeks ago, Jeremy Bates wasn't even in the converstation for this job. Then, today, from Lovie's mouth "He was the best candidate by a landslide"..hmm then why did it take this long for the Bears to turn to him? I know Lovie controls the staff, but did Emery make a "suggestion" to Lovie that they maybe re-consider their stance on Bates?

To me, it would make more sense for Deron to force a trade to Orlando, and team up w/Dwight there. These players are goofy.

Ignoring the statistical argument, in which Rose shreds Deron Williams(I'm not going to even bother)...Deron also has the reputation as a coach killer now, while DRose is a coaches dream. Am I a bitter Bulls fan that is sour cause Dwight doesn't want to play here? Of course.

next argument. New England had 2 TEs in their Hail Mary. A team whose top 3 WRs were outcasts from other bad teams just lost the Super Bowl. And the Giants were afraid to run their 2 min defense out against that team. If New England had a good defense I could see them being in the Super Bowl, but......... I don't understand your point. No offense. It just doesn't make any sense. Those two TE's Gronk and Hernandez are two of the best in the game. The philosophy over the past two years for the Pats has to run their offense via these TE's they invested in, not WR's.

yeah, pretty weak argument. Considering the records being broken in terms of revenue, tv ratings. I don't think you can call the NFL a crappy product.
