He lives in Boston and he just posted that WBZ-FM just was told by KNBR that they have heard Ricketts has contacted Oakland to speak to Beane. Again, this is from a guy who lives in Boston and is listening to the station. It was Posted 5 min ago. I might puke. He also said this:

    Yeah, it's been posted 3 times, but it's still very confusing. What's done? Hoyer? Or Theo? Or both? In a surprise move, the Cubs have actually taken every other club's GM and formed a college of GMs. I like this.

    This could be right on the money. Selig has said he does not want major annoucements to interfere with the post season/World series. Think about this: Why in the world would all these "excellent sources" tell all the media outlets that the deal is basically done and that a presser is scheduled for tomorrow if they did not have the goods on it? There's a ton of credibility to be lost if you come out and say it's done only to have it to not be the case. There's been too many reports with regards to compensation, etc. for this to be just smoke.
