    Well they're going for it. Mariners and Royals wanted him but weren't willing to go three years. Why do you think they are all of a sudden going for it this year and not the last couple of years? The conspiracy theorist in me thinks Reinsdorf is responding to the rise of the Cubs.

    Shark is dead set on testing FA next year (as he should). I hope Billy fleeces Hahn. That being said, the Sox should have a tough rotation. If Marcus Semien is the main piece, the A's got fleeced.

    When I was a kid it was Mark Grace b/c of the 1989 team and I played 1B during little league at the time. More recent it would be Derrick Lee due to his power and fielding at 1b. Plus, he seemed like a good guy. Loved Rod Beck in 98. Always thought Lynrd Skynrd should have been his theme music.

    Speaking of BJax, why does he get less playing time in the OF than Vitters? Is he really that much less of a "prospect" than Vitters at this point? I don't have the hitting #'s but when you see them, they are not pretty. Other than last year, BJax has out OPSed Vitters at every level. Actually, 2012 too, but not by much. Plus, he's a better defender than Vitters. They both suck but Jackson is a year older and doing a little worse this year. But it doesn't really matter. Because as I said, they both suck. Agree both suck, but it still doesn't justify the discrepancy in playing time IMO.

    And confirmed by the beat writers on Twitter. Nice! Get to see him on Daddy/Daughter princess night on Friday! i don't know what that is, but it sounds disturbing Kane County Cougars promotion...I'll be there with my 4 year old.
