Just got back from the Peoria vs Cedar Rapids game. Sat right behind home plate by the scouts, my buddy hooked me up with some solid tickets. :good: Austin Kirk was pitching, sat 87-89 most of the night. Touched 90 a few times. Has a really good curve, a slower curve that was 69-71, reminded me a lot of Lillys. Its definitely his out pitch right now. It will be interesting to see how he does as he moves up. Not sure he'll rack up the K's like he is in A ball. He throws a lot of strikes, usually around the plate. Overall I was really impressed. Kirk doesn't have any pitch that will wow you but he throws strikes and paints the corners. I'll be at the game tomorrow so I'll try to look more at the position players, although now that Szczur is gone, there's not a lot of intrigue there. I do think Alcantara has the chance to be a major league SS. I like his range, and he has a good arm. He's still pretty young too. I'll have more tomorrow and Monday
