    Cashner strikes out the first two. Gives up a single to the #3 hitter who then steals 2nd. Another single to the clean up hitter to score a run. Runner advanced to 2nd on throw to home. Another single to make it 2-0. And then is pulled for Searle. Very unfortunate.. He had the cleanup hitter in an 0-2 count when the runner stole 2nd.

    Cashner seems to be imploding after striking out the first two. Vitters is in the lineup after being HBP yesterday.

    Jokisch getting roughed up pretty good. 3.2 ip / 8 hits / 5 ER .. 45 strikes / 36 balls (at this point) still trying to get the final out in the 4th. judging by the game day seems to be pretty all over the place w/ control.

    I am glad Purke got paid. I've always felt he got screwed by the MLB/Texas coming out of High School & the injury riddled season really hurt him.

    Damn. I really liked Jacquez. But, if we get Maples, Dunston, Vogelbomb, and Baez you can't complain. When was the last time the Cubs ponied up for a HS arm like Maples in the middle rounds?

    Who is this LHP Brad Hand? Born in 1990 w/ a good ERA in AA and this is the second time I've seen a boxscore this year where he is shutting down the Smokies offense. Looks like he has gotten some time in the majors this year already. I see.
