  1. I am more interested in seeing if Gioloto signs for just under $3M. The Nationals are stacked with pitching. If Gioloto moves fast they could have a rotation of: Strasburg Gio Zimmerman Detwiler Gioloto
  2. Also, just looking at Maples twitter he replied to someone saying he should be throwing in late July. This was on July 2nd.
  3. I still have hopes for Dunston, but he HAS been a flop so far. Not unexpected though. Coming out of HS, many thought he would need 4 years at Vandy to develop. He is a raw talent and needs work. I believe it was BA that had him rated rather low due to his rawness. His huge bonus (1.3M? IIRC) makes him a slight disappointment thus far. Maples needs to get healthy as well. That is about $4M worth of money in Mesa right now between Dunston & Maples.
  4. Dunston has certainly been a flop thus far. Not surprised he was demoted.
  5. 3BB for Szczur today.. Pretty impressive. I hope he gets promoted rather soon. Vitters continues to hit and hit for power. Another XBH today. If the plate discipline continues to improve - he could really blow up in the majors. With his ability to make contact - I am beginning to believe he is a safer bet than BJax going forward.
  6. Vitters 1/2 with a 2B and 2 BB.
  7. If he keeps this up, I imagine he'll get a cup of coffee in September after Iowa wraps up and then have a chance to compete with Stewart or whomever in ST. I am getting giddy about Vitters. I guess we can almost say for sure we have the solution at 3B in our system.. Either Vitters, Baez, or Candelario.
  8. If Vitters finish the season with around these numbers - what is the perception of him? Potentially starting 3rd baseman next season? Or let him start next season again in Iowa and call him up after a few months like Rizzo?
  9. Wilken should be fired for the drafting of Simpson. Truly embarrassing. Funny how the selection was mocked at the time due to the reach and many believed it was ego driven. Wilken really looks bad two years later. Vitters has been such a pleasant surprise. It's kind of funny how many (myself included) gave up on his talent so soon. He's been on fire for 2 months.
  10. The media has brainwashed quite a few people on the war on steroids/drugs. There are so many misconceptions out there it's hilarious. I can name about 50 people I know personally who have done some type of testosterone therapy at some point. I think many would be shocked at how prevalent it is in society. Prostate cancer is not a side effect of TRT. A large amount of males over 35 are doing TRT therapy now. Many MMA athletes included which has created a big spark of debate if you're fan of that sport. Still a fan of Marlon Byrd.
  11. Cashner has an amazing arm. I am not surprised by this. Still, I am obviously happy with the trade, but wished we had another arm like Cashner in the system.
  12. How good is Baez on the basepaths? Could he be a 30/30 guy in the majors? Or more of a 20 SB guy?
  13. Scuzur having a hell of a game.
  14. +18 lbs, no side effects. Yes, please.
  15. I am doing a cycle of testosterone right now so I find this interesting. Clomid is used to prevent gyno. Nolvadex is used as post cycle treatment. I just ordered mine a few hours ago.
  16. You are surprised that the Cubs didn't give up prospects to acquire a 33 year old player whose numbers have deteriorated and is a FA after next season? I thought he was under contract for one more season.
  17. I am a bit surprised Theo didn't show any interest. Has Youk really fallen off that much? Also, is Stewart really worth anything?
  18. I've always thought he would be better than Cole who went #1. I can't wait to see his debut.
  19. I don't even look at Rizzo's boxscores and haven't in a while. It's pointless. No one can touch him in AAA. We have a very good idea of what we have there. We will know more in a few weeks when he is hopefully in Chicago.
  20. If we are able to grab a college arm that would move fast the rotation could be fixed iin an offseason. 2014: Hamels Garza Shark Stanek* Wood / numerous others that is a mighty fine rotation.
  21. I think the best case scenario for us is this: 1 - Houston - Appel 2 - Twins - Buxton 3 - Mariners - Zunino 4 - O's - Gausman 5 - KC - Zimmer And we get our choice between Correa, Fried, Almora.
