  1. That's how I interpreted it. Good interpretation.
  2. baker's probably ready to put neifi in already. he'd look pretty on that double play. i'll bet nef comes in in the 3rd when baker pulls hill and makes a double switch
  3. cliff floyd.. hmmm. he fits the cubs profile. he was really good for a while, but is now aging and could come cheap. he could put up some nice numbers. if they can package murton for a difference maker player, then why not.
  4. I'm not sure if you're being serious or not. "Bad luck" is a term used by losers to justify their incompetence. Winners aren't lucky, they simply put themselves in positions to win. This organization's insisting on using ever imaginable excuse they can for their ineptitude makes them very difficult to remain loyal to. I remain a fan anyway, mostly because I'm an idiot. typically teams that win it all have almost everything go right. that involves luck. you can't tell me the white sox had a great team last year or the marlins were great in 04. or that anaheim was great the year they won the world series. the cubs messed up by hanging onto wood too long and not dealing off prior for tejada. the cub messed up by not wanting to spend on guys like beltran, vlad, colon and pedro. the nefster & rusch signings sucked too.
  5. I'd like to see how St. Louis would do without Pujols, Carpenter and Mulder or Boston do without Ortiz, Schilling and Beckett. The only team that can absorb a number of injuries to difference makers is the Yankees. What needs to be done is to put Wood and ARam's money into more reliable players, and possibly trade off Prior while he still has some value.
  6. i'm sure they will. name an organization w/ worse luck than the cubs. cubs lead in bad luck by several miles.
  7. the cubs have a bunch of 2 and 7 hitters...
  8. Sox 20 - Cubs 4 hill's going to get shelled.
  9. here's a fun fact. of the first 16 batters the Cubs have sent to the plate, 10 of them have had a first pitch strike called on them. Maddux? 2 up until this inning. this ump Sox.
  10. this game and the next are already over. up to Z again.
  11. Maddux was crap in the first and Pods wasn't on base. bases full now.. brenly = right How? Maddux has sucked like this in the past, and he sucked like this in the first. I don't see how Pods makes a difference. lol. don't give an inch ever....
  12. nef would have gunned down thome @ the plate.
  13. Maddux was crap in the first and Pods wasn't on base. bases full now.. brenly = right
  14. Glass half full. Shouldn't Ozzie be calling for a sac bunt here, you know, to maximize chances of scoring a run? with thome up???????????????
  15. "posednik's throwing maddux off his rhythm" looks like it brenly
  16. the cubs can hit a home run any day now.
  17. Sox 10 Cubs 0 I'll be happy with 1 win out of 3 in this series. Lets go Z!
