  1. anyone on the team should be able to say whatever they want.
  2. i still haven't commited suicide because of the team
  3. i hope they both choke meaning they both lose. not literally.
  4. Maybe I'm crazy, but Sarge Jr's catch was the greatest I've ever seen. EVER. agreed. best catch of all time.
  5. didn't bill simmons write an article once basically saying he thought wade boggs wasn't that great because he walked all the time?
  6. if it happens i hope ronnie cedeno doesn't make arod stay at 3rd base
  7. C: Michael Barrett 1B: Derrek Lee 2B: Todd Walker SS: Derek Jeter 3B: David Wright LF: Adam Dunn CF: Grady Sizemore RF: Vladimir Guerrero DH: Hafner too lazy to do pitchers
  8. down by 3 runs exactly, no less. that's pretty awesome. i believe he got a game winning double the game before too. stupid meaningless homers and hits.
  9. probably because you cheated
  10. It's been answered correctly twice.
  11. It's not only in the national league, but all of the major leagues too.
  12. With a minumum of 100 at bats, guess who is 2nd in the Major Leagues in slugging, behind Albert Pujols. Don't cheat, and if you do, don't answer the question.
  13. I have no idea. There is a chance he's below average, but it is left field, and if he is, it's not a major concern, and if was (hypothetically) the thing that prevented Hendry from getting Dunn, I'd be pissed.
  14. What does average matter? Nothing. It does matter a little bit. A single is better than a walk. And both are better than an out. Dunn makes significantly fewer outs while hitting for the same power. He's better. That's what I said a few posts ago. Saying average doesn't matter at all though is foolish. A single is better than a walk. Average matters very little compared to OBP and SLG. Using it as a means to try to rip Dunn, which is what Neuby was doing, is foolish. That's fine, but goony is wrong for saying it has no value. Don't even try to tell me a walk is just as good as a single. Foolish or not I don't want a guy who's production is soley based on the long ball. Dunn doesn't hit 4 any kind of average , strike outs a ton, no speed, and can't play anywhere but first base badly at that . Is that enough to rip Dunn? There's no way he's worth 3 of are top prospects as comapared to Lee. His production isn't solely based on the long ball. And just because once or twice you've seen Adam Dunn misjudge a flyball doesn't mean he's an absolute butcher out there. And Dunn, even though it really matters very little, has good speed...amazing speed if you consider his size.
  15. i dunno, but jermaine dye's numbers are insane this year. wtf happened?
  16. if dempster did his job we'd be 32-44 with a .421 winning percentage. that's a heck of a lot better than 28-48 with a .386 winning percentage You're kidding right? mostly. though with the way dempster has walked people his whole career, i'm open to the possibility that maybe dempster just isn't that great of a closer.
  17. if dempster did his job we'd be 32-44 with a .421 winning percentage. that's a heck of a lot better than 28-48 with a .386 winning percentage
  18. until baker's ties with the cubs are completely severed i'm never going to be convinced that hendry doesn't think baker is the absolute right man for the job, and that baker is perfectly capable of managing through this.
  19. oops it turns out dempster is just as bad as latroy

  21. Yes, we know White Sox fans have an anti-ESPN agenda, just like they have an anti-Jay Mariotti agenda, and an anti-Cubs agenda. Really, And I thought we were so Pro-ESPN and Pro-mariotti. And you always come off as so Pro-sox. Yes, but White Sox fans have some sort of anti-agenda that they make a priority to hate on these things. We don't. We may not like ESPN or Mariotti, but we don't complain every day about them like Sox fans do. But we (by we i mean you) do complain about the white sox and their fans every day. You remember we root for the CUBS here, right? Yes, I root for the Cubs, but I only complain about the Sox when fans bring it up. If you didn't bring them up, you'd see. YOU BROUGHT THEM UP IN THIS THREAD
  22. i haven't chosen my 2nd team yet but i am accepting offers
