Yeah, I can see it's because Georgia would have an extra loss (to AL this week), but the 3rd place SEC team would fairly regularly make the playoff then while the SEC Championship game loser wouldn't make it. Right?

yeah, but they're shooting 42% from 3 in part because they're getting open shots due to the threat of the dribble-drive. and they have absolutely zero threats underneath. Sure, you've got to play to your strengths. It just surprised me that they were all the way up to #4. Granted it's a really small sample size and I doubt you'll be #4 at the end of the year. Purdue went from 130th, to 39th last year in this stat, including shooting/hitting a school record amount of 3-pointers last year because JaJuan Johnson was gone. So far this year they're 271st in this stat. That's really concerning too... we're going to get zoned like a mo-fo this year.

Is Rondo going to get a suspension for his shoving match last night? I was going to go to the Bucks/Celtics game Saturday night but the game is already lacking for stars, not sure I'll go if Rondo is out.

yes, but not in the same sense that northwestern is lol Only three teams in D1 score a higher percentage of their total points off of 3-point shots. 1) Rice (45.3%) 2) Mount St. Mary's (43.4%) 3) Eastern Washington (43.0%) 4) Illinois (42.9%) The next closest power conference team I see is Northwestern in 22nd place with 37.1% of their points coming from 3's. Illinois was 187th last year with 26.6% of their scoring from 3-point shots.

I should've put these in context. Michigan is the 328th youngest team in D1 out of 347 teams, and they're ranked in the Top 5. That's impressive. Purdue is the 307th youngest and Iowa 293rd. I think IU might break the record next year though with most of this year's team going pro and 8 freshmen coming in. :D

Tie game in Cameron with 6 minutes left? Guess it's down to PSU Looks like a tie (win) this year. [expletive] the ACC. Ugh, it seems like this should have been an easy B1G victory this year. WTF happened to Wisconsin and MSU? No doubt, hell even Nebraska helped us out. Wisconsin surprised me the most, at least MSU was on the road. Amir Williams is really bad a free throw shooting.

While I agree with your overall point, that seems a rather natural match-up. The Iowa grad I work with is really happy that they get to play Nebraska. When I was tailgaiting in Iowa City earlier this month the fans were talking about the Nebraska game like it was a big game even though they were really down on the Iowa team.
