  1. He's fun to watch. Love the fact that Smotherman is getting more minutes, too. TF they find a black guy named Basil Smotherman? He in witness protetction? It would make sense if he was British haha. They did a marketing bit with him called 'Cooking with Basil'.
  2. He has been for several years. I know he was in the past but I can't remember the last time I saw him. I know he was doing soccer and other stuff but isn't anymore. I think he mostly calls Big East games now.
  3. Ray Davis may be the most underrated player in the B1G.
  4. Well that was fun. Was waiting for Purdue to slip a bit, but the Boilers never let up. Great win. So enjoyable. That's two blowout victories in a row against IU. Granted we didn't play at IU last year. :)
  5. Poor sad Gus
  6. The officiating on behalf of yogi is an embarrassment.
  7. Gus is on BTN now?
  8. He seems like the type of guy that wouldn't take a cheap one year deal. I think his ego is too big.
  9. Michigan recruiting oops. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/2015/01/27/daishon-neal-michigan-fumbled-recruiting/22405369/ A lot of smart kids get turned down by Michigan every year. The coach is probably right, but still, lol at the tact. What is Michigan's out of state acceptance rate? It's gotta be really low.
  10. It's also a block from Historic House Where Snoodmonger Grew Up. I must have missed the plaque. If you ever go to Nevin's, look for the plaque that says "Snoodmonger used to be a 'bouncer' here." If I name drop you think I can get a free drink?
  11. Purdue opens as a 3 point favorite over IU tomorrow. http://static.foxsports.com/content/fscom/img/2012/10/27/102712-NCAA-BK-Tom-Crean-HEAD-OF-STATE-DG-PI_20121027155801164_660_320.JPG [expletive] IU!
  12. Welsh-Ryan is in the middle of a neighborhood, so there aren't really a lot of fun drinking options within walking distance. With that said, you have a few choices: If parking or taking Metra to Central: + Bluestone + Ten Mile House (haven't been -- just opened but supposedly good) Parking isn't that bad for non-football events. It's inexpensive to pay at the stadium and you can usually find a way to park for free in the neighborhood (Evanston side, south of central). If you get there late you may have to park west of Green Bay. There are long-term parking meters near the Central Metra station and if you get lucky you can use them. I'd honestly recommend taking the L if you can, stopping at Davis, having a few beers, and then heading to Central on the L (or even Ubering if you are so inclined). By approx. distance from L/Metra at Davis: + World of Beer + Bat 17 + Bar Louie + Bangers and Lace + JT's + Prairie Moon + Nevin's I'll be driving down from MKE so the L wouldn't be an option. I'll probably find parking and try out Ten Mile House or Bluestone so I can have a couple and not have to worry about finding parking right before the game. Is Bluestone more restaurant than bar? Thanks for the info!
  13. I'm going to Northwestern for the first time on Saturday. Constable (or anyone else) can you tell me a good place to get a drink before the game? Does parking suck?

  15. How does Woodbury get away with this crap? Against Ohio State: http://buckeyextra.dispatch.com/content/blogs/hoops-and-scoops/2015/01/01-20-15-the-ol-jump-ball-trick.html Against Purdue:
  16. Ironically, I left my doors unlocked for the first time in just about forever last night, and sure enough, someone got into the car and stole about $3.00 in quarters from the tray. I called the police to report it, but not for the $3.00 he stole. Dude left someone's laptop laying in our yard, so stealing my $3.00 might have cost him a lot more by leaving that laptop behind. LOL. I wonder if it was the same hobo? Dude gets around. I left my car unlocked one night last summer. When I got in my car the next morning nothing was missing but someone had apparently gotten in my car and smoked a whole cigarette. At least it appeared that way based on the smell and the large amount of ashes all over my passengers seat. WTF?
  17. That's a cool reward for the kid.
  18. Damn. RIP Ernie.
  19. Also, if Purdue didn't luck into Jon Octeus we would be under .500 right now. Painter has to feel the heat at some point right? Missing the tournament four years in a row?
  20. You guys even had a guard on Hammons the last 5-6 minutes and we did nothing with it. If you guys can get healthy that free throw shooting is [expletive] amazing. Could make a nice run.
  21. I'm not sure we're even NIT worthy.
  22. Illinois whole offense was shitty long 2-point jumpers and Purdue fouled the [expletive] out of them. Fantastic free throw shooting by Illinois cant argue that.
  23. What a disgusting loss.
  24. Purdue just awful at free throw shooting.
  25. It usually sucks for me too.
