I think this makes it's pretty clear he's just talking out about McDonald to get the audience fired up and attack the Bears. He's got a pretty clear history of arguing these kinds of social issues in sports though, and doing a very good job at it. But I think a bit of wine and twitter got him in some deep water last night. Right, he's playing the game and saying the right things. Meanwhile, just under the surface is the real, drooling over boobs on Twitter, Bernstein. A lot of guys do that on Twitter but they're not 'Senior' reporters who host the most popular sports talk show in a major market. A guy in his position, especially if he claims to champion the opposite of this stuff, can't be this socially stupid on Twitter. He should get suspended.

Agreed - the officiating has been as close to horrendous as it gets. I usually don't notice the refs during the NCAA tourney. That was epic, one of the best endings I've seen. I yelled down goes Baylor and then everyone in the office realized I was watching via streaming... Freaking n00b. :P Of course, I've had these first two days of the tourney off 7 of the last 8 years. Seniority at work for the win! Yeah, I only get three weeks vacation and it's hard to explain to the wife burning 2 of 15 days for this. Wish I could though. Now, if Purdue played during the day I would've taken one haha.

It's a very smart move. 24yo, degree from a strong academic institution, 650k signing bonus, any salary from endorsements, card shows, and his base salary from one year he's off to a good start in life. More would be smart to do so. Do you get to keep all of the signing bonus if you quit before the contract is over? Aren't rookie contracts 3 year deals?
