  1. Because he played at Purdue. Are you serious with this? I also wouldn't want him. He runs the same type of system that makes me want to poke my eyes out with a stick and soon will be going through what we are as his recruiting has sucked. Painter will have just as many 4 star players on the floor next year as he has this year... actually, depending on if you rate Lawson a 3 (Rivals) or a 4 (ESPN), he may have more next year. Anthony Johnson is a redshirt and obviously they get your favorite player Hummel back (if he doesn't blow out his knee again). I still like your talent next year better, but its not like Painter is [expletive] the bed. IU gets recruits just because they're IU and they've taken guys away from Painter, obviously. But it's not like he's throwing scrubs out there. I hate to burst your bubble, but Anthony Johnson kinda sucks. He couldn't even get tick in high school.
  2. He won't be drafted. I was being a dick... because they're always dicks about Purdue. I think he'll get picked in the second...
  3. McCamey is a lottery pick.
  4. Plus, I've heard rumors that Painter may leave after this year. That would be crippling to our program.

  6. That's pretty [expletive] impressive.
  7. I know you are trying to help, but if it was just this game fine. We freaking find ways to lose games like this. If I could pick Paul, Richmond, and Richardson or Terone Johnson, Byrd, and Barlow. Well... that's pretty easy... Paul and Richardson did both play 32 minutes, so at least he's letting them play. Richmond had a tough game, but I don't think there's any doubt about his ability. I don't watch a lot of Illinois ball, but Cole displayed horrible body language throughout. I can't believe losing him isn't a good thing. Cole is the number one player in America in offensive efficiency. Yeah, a big guy averaging under 6 points a game. I think you can safely toss that stat out. Seriously?

  9. McCamey's been having the worst game of his career every game for the past 2 months Worse than 1-10 with 4 assists and 3 turnovers? I doubt it. Every loose ball was going to Purdue too.
  10. I know you guys are in spaz mode, but this is the signature win for Purdue this year. On the road, in a tough environment, against one of the more talented teams in the country. If it weren't for McCamey having the absolute WORST game of his career it wouldn't have happened. You can't blame coaching for 1-10 from the floor, but whatever. Yes you guys have better recruiting classes coming in, and Purdue is losing two of their best players in school history. So. Yes, I expect the Illini to beat Purdue next year. That's why I'm enjoying this. Also, the guy sreeching during every Purdue free throw is an embarrassment to Illinois. The Crean comment was golden.
  11. is that good enough for you? Yeah, you guys just missed about five bunny shots in a row. Jesus christ. The terrible body language after the missed shots should be concerning. No way you're out of this game yet though. Your guys can shoot the lights out if you get on a streak.
  12. Purdue finally started making some shots. It would be nice if we had the dozen points we've missed on bunny shots so far.
  13. Purdue shooting 28% from the floor and only down five - with the home cooking. Not that I expect them to catch up.
  14. another shootout...
  15. Syracuse-Georgetown is the only other one that's a real rivalry and those were shown back-to-back. Rivalry day? Purdue - IU was that day too.
  16. It should be 4-0. Lehtonen's power play 'save' on Seabrook was not a save. Sure as hell looked like his glove was all the way in the net with the puck in it.
  17. Yeah, teams simply aren't letting him get many open looks. And on the rare occasion he does get one, he's not hitting the shots with the same frequency (not that anyone expected him to keep shooting 60% from behind the arc). I'm a bit concerned that Hart isn't getting more minutes since coming back. If teams are going to key on Smith, change it up a little bit. I'm not saying to take Ryne completely out of the mix, but let Hart see if he can make something happen. Between Smith, Byrd, and Hart, one of them should be able to knock down a few shots in any given game. Agreed on Bade. He's looked good in the past few games, especially with his rebounding. Of course, the broadcasters last night had to mention how good this team would be if Scott Martin had not left. That hurt a little bit. I heard the issue with Hart was that Painter wasn't happy with his D. Tough to say, but Painter certainly goes through favorite streaks when it comes to the bench guys. When is the last time you saw Marcius? Carroll got a start or two and then I don't think he even played yesterday?
  18. I'm a little concerned that Ryne disapeared. He had a four game outburst to start the Big Ten schedule but has only broken double digits once since then. Teams figured out he could shoot and he's essentially been smothered since then. Apparently with ease though. Its not like other guys are getting wide open looks because of him. Also, props to Bade for looking like a different player recently. He's no star and he's not going to turn into one, but he's a useful role player lately and I never thought that would happen. I cheered louder for that little jump shot he made than any other basket all night.
  19. IU will win the rematch in Bloomington. :P That honestly wouldn't shock me.
  20. Well, it was ugly, but Purdue took care of business last night. Hulls is a scrappy little [expletive].
  21. I was excited when they signed him and was thinking he would be the better back at one point early in the season. Boy was I wrong.
  22. It's not too late to catch AIDS.
  23. Sullinger is a flopping [expletive] piece of [expletive].
  24. Sullinger just got [expletive] owned by Iverson.
  25. Jesus. Sparty.
