Crazy game. I was pulling for Missouri State because of Cuonzo Martin and a guy from my high school (Mr. Basketball Indiana 1996) played there.

You already think he is a douche so I don't think it really matters if he had them fouling or not. :P I thought Indiana actually gave it a really good effort tonight but Jordan Taylor was just insane and unstoppable. There really wasn't any answer for that. Yeah, Taylor was hitting circus shots tonight.

BYU is 5 of 27 from 3-point range. I wonder how far they'll drop? Voters had to have been looking for an excuse to drop them when Davies was booted. Now they've been stomped at home by Alford.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bade were gone next year. I don't want Painter to push him out, but if he decides to go somewhere that he can actually get minutes I wouldn't blame him.

Assuming Hummel comes back ok next year - Painter isn't going to get real respect until he wins in 2012 (without any of the Big 3).

If Hummel comes back close you will be ok next year. After that tho it could be rough a bit. They have one 4 star prospect this year in Terone Johnson, one coming in 2012 in Raphael Davis, one coming in 2013 in Bryson Scott, and three fringe 4 star players over that span too (Jacob Lawson, Jay Simpson, Basil Smotherman). Granted, it's nothing like Indiana's and Illinois' most recent commitments, but I think it will be enough to pair with what they have already to be competitive. Byrd is a 4 star too, and don't forget 4 star Anthony Johnson who is red-shirting. Rivals has Simpson as a 4 star in 2012 too but I've heard very mixed things about him. It's a little early to rank the 2013 kids right now, but ESPN currently has all three Purdue 2013 commits in the Top 50. You didn't mention Kendall Stephens who is one of the top players coming out of Illinois in 2013. They're not going to be on the french fry team but they'll all be Top 100, 4 Star players, barring major set backs. Plus they have another scholarship open and they're recruiting several other high caliber players. IU and Illinois are getting higher ranked players for sure but I like our coaching advantage.
