Anyone else here going to the 2018 Cubs convention? I will be off work that weekend, so I will be buying my tickets soon. Also, this will be my first time at the convention. I went to the game against Milwaukee on Monday night, and I had the "Bao to the Pork" sandwich from Pork & Mindy's in the bleachers (Platform 14). Loved the combination of flavors, and I would definitely order it again. The sandwich also included some barbecue kettle chips on the side, which were also good. Service wasn't too bad, and I only had to wait about 5 minutes for the food.

They will also have postgame press conferences for the Cubs home games on the screen. When I went to the park after Saturday's game, the inning-by- inning final score was shown, along with other videoboard content shown to fans inside Wrigley Field. On non-game days, the screen will be used for movie nights during the summer. Yep - got one at the game on Wednesday night. The banner measures 60" x 26" and is made of very light material. There are grommets on the left side of the banner, so the banner can be hung on a flag pole. The Mastercard logo is on the upper right of the banner and is a few inches wide. Hopefully I can get the replica World Series trophy at the game tomorrow!

Yup, and they seem to do plenty of the high school graduation rings and yearbooks as well. They're actually owned by Newell Brands now, who have many pen companies (i.e. Sharpie, Papermate, Expo) and small appliance companies (i.e. Sunbeam, Crock-Pot, Mr. Coffee) as subsidiaries. As for the game, the ring ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:20 PM. Weather looks great today, but it will be a bit chilly (mid-upper 40's) at first pitch. "I didn’t come here for a haircut... Had a the Joe Tinker sausage (veal saltimbocca sausage with sage mustard, crispy onions, and Swiss cheese) from the Hot Doug's stand on Monday night in the bleachers. Very tasty, and definitely more filling than a hot dog! I also decided to bring in my own peanuts and snack items to the game. Since I plan on going to around 20 games this year, I recently bought a 5-pound bag of in-shell peanuts at Costco for $5.75 and am bringing around 4 ounces in for each game. The bag will last me the whole year, and I'll be saving money on concessions as well!

The back edge of the rain is already in far eastern Iowa (nearing Dubuque) right now, so I think that the game will be played tonight. A rain delay is definitely a possibility, as the opening ceremonies are scheduled to start at 6:15 PM.

Based on the forecast, there could be a rain delay, but not a postponement. There's some rain and thunderstorms coming through Oak Park (just west of Chicago) right now. As for later, the thunderstorms are forecast to leave the area after 7:00 PM.
