These protected draft picks are turning out to all be worthless. I miss the days when we could turn Steve Kerr into a top lottery pick.

Look at the 2003 draft and see what was around at the #8 pick vs the #20 pick. The Bulls got incredibly lucky with rose and i wouldnt care to lose for another shot at such an unlikely event. The bulls have a better chance upsetting indiana than getting a top 5 draft pick. They cant clear cap space really. They are gonna amnestly boozer after the season. What else could they do short of dumping Noah? They obviouly wont get any assets for anybody on the team other than Noah look at the horrendous return we got for deng.

Have you guys been paying attention to NBA drafts for the last 10-15 years? Getting the 10 pick as opposed to the 18th pick is very very unlikely to make a much of a difference in the long term and based on how the bulls draft and play young guys it will definately make zero difference in the short term.

I just want this part of everything to be over. The relatively de minimis revenue increase from a dumbass video board shouldnt have anything to do with anything. If they can get it up and make a couple of bucks off it great if not whatever. If they can do this commercial promenade and make some money off it thats great too. They do not need those improvements to self fund. They need to focus on their baseball product. Thats all they need to focus on. If they need to make cosmetic or structural improvements to wrigley than make them. You dont need to wait until you have the "miller lite fan patio" or whatever it will be. They own a roughly $300mln ballpark. If you need to protect that asset by making whatever improvements, than you need to make them. "He has no cash" (which i absolutely do not believe) than he needs to either further leverage or sell the team. I dont believe any of that. I think that they came in with a plan and a conservative strategy and for whatever confluence of reasons either (i) its not working or (ii) its not working fast enough for most fans.

I want to be actively watching games and looking at the division standings at least into July. It would be wise for them to try to make that happen./
