  1. I'm thinking danilo galinari.
  2. I dont know what to say. You guys think McDermott is likely to have a career close to Jamisons? From 99-09 Jamison averaged 21 points 8 boards. McDermott may not even be an NBA starter. You are out of your mind. Jamison was in the nba as a 37 year old last year. We should be hoping for a Mike Miller comp with McDermott. And like I said before im not sure how much Thibs will even use him. Hes going to be battling Snell for minutes. Do you think prime Jamison would be battling Tony Snell for minutes? and as for college careers, he certainly had a great one but he played in the MVC most his career, and didnt have a ton of team success. Jamisons jersey is retired in chapel hill.
  3. I respect that you like creighton and the bulls and totally understand excitement here. However Antwan Jamison? Jamison was a legendary collegiate player who played on the NBA forever. He was a boarderline 20/10 guy, all star caliber 40 minute a game guy. And the "more athletic than anybody realizes" thing is said about every unathletic white 4 year shooter ever to enter the NBA. The nba combine athletic drills are worthless in this regard as noted by Jimmer freddette grading out on par with Derrick rose in some of those drills.
  4. The thing is Reese Davis is not tht bad. Neither is Rose. It Simmons distractions and [expletive] that ruin it. It's like a class clown disrupting a class except he's 50.
  5. I don't even know that Napier is better than Mario Chalmers. This does not make Miami any better.
  6. There was a time when an anthoney Randolph acquisition would have excited the [expletive] out of me.
  7. Agree and disagree. First, he's a much better scorer than Dunleavy was at the same point in his career. Moreover, Dunleavy is almost guaranteed to be traded. Mirotic isn't in any way guaranteed to be here, but even if he is you literally cannot have enough scoring wings in today's game. Agree that Afflao would have been a very good pick-up. I realize dunleavy is probably gone. I'm just saying I expect a lot less from McDermott than what we got from dunleavy, maybe I'm wrong but I dont even know that thibs will use McDermott.
  8. Pretty sure nurkic and Harris are less of a cap hold than McDermott. Didn't they say nurkic or whatever is in turkey for two years.
  9. I realize that there is salary cap issues but McDermott will be a less effective dunleavy. At least with Harris you had a guy who can do something with the ball. How many possessions do we end up relying on a guard to do something with 3 seconds left on the 24? I'm actually angry. Denver son'd us in a trade and got afflalo for nothing. Afflalo is on a value contract and is basically the perfect backcourt pairing for rose. Harris would be a nice conselation prize to afflalo. Instead we get dunleavy minus and let's not forget the redundancy created with Mirotic. It's as I've always feared. Garpax fell in love with themselves again in the form of Jimmy Butler.
  10. Wow I wish we didn't make that trade.
  11. Feel bad for him, but also very fortunate that it was detected early instead of too late. Agreed but with deerhunter and Abe Lincoln he's in solid company.
  12. I can't even enjoy watching this draft because Simmons is such a pathetic clown.
  13. What is philly doing? Collecting injured bigs and thabo sepholoshas. Bill Simmons needs to be removed from the air he sucks so bad. He's a petulant Child. I don't understand how he's on air. Everything he says is irratating.
  14. If Harris is available at 16 then I'm pissed. Coulda saved the 19 for a stash or trade and gotten harris who I like as much as Doug.
  15. If that's all it took to get afflalo garpax screwed up big time. He's basically exactly what we are going to need regardless of whatever else happens in this FA and draft. Butler and a pick would have done it and that sucks. Afflalo was what we needed baring some Hail Mary signing. Very disappointed.
  16. Did I read that pos accurate and that Orlando offered afflalo 4 and 12 for 1? The cabs would be idiotic to not take that. At this point the Bulls should go hard for afflalo.
  17. A 7 and 8 seed both have a shot to close the series at home tonight. Unexpected. Love seeing BKN idiot tank come back to bite them losing a series hopefully to TOR and WSH cruised past us. Makes that strategy look pretty asinine. Gonna be sad when Durant goes to LAL and wins 3 straight titles.
  18. I just want a big guard from this draft who shoots. Butler needs to be moved hes not a good fit for us going forward. Really nice player but we dont need him and cant pay him.
  19. Maybe 16&19 could get us 12 or 13 and a chance at Stauskas and Gary Harris who fit a need for this team. Guys who have a chance to be as much or more of an addition than exuum/smart and also keep our fantastic coach.
  20. First off they dont have a top 5 pick. They have 75% chance at pick 6 or 7. And even so, 5 & 16 & 19 would not net you #2. Please just be happy you have a tremendous coach.
  21. If they offer their top 5 pick for Thibs, you take that deal. And then get on the phone with Fred Hoiberg. If you think Dante Exuum or Marcus Smart is more valuable than thibs you are absolutely out of your mind. Talent wins in the NBA, not coaches. I doubt the Lakers put their pick on the table but you definitely take that gamble for Parker/Wiggins if they offer it. Exuum and Smart are pretty damn good too so it's not a loss. There is an 80% chance that the laker pick is #6-#9. You are absolutely crazy to even consider this. Yes talent wins, but talent gets paid too, coaches dont. Also do you watch the NBA and note how long it takes top picks to become good players? This isnt the 90s, you are getting 19-20yr olds who are not ready and have high bust potential. You want to trade thibs for a 20% chance at a 1-2-3 pick? Even if they got the #1 pick at 6% odds, who knows when Wiggins is actually ready to be a main contributor to a title contender. What if you make this deal and get the #9 pick? This would be an awful, awful trade. Hopefully Garpax laugh at it.
  22. If they offer their top 5 pick for Thibs, you take that deal. And then get on the phone with Fred Hoiberg. If you think Dante Exuum or Marcus Smart is more valuable than thibs you are absolutely out of your mind.
  23. Not sure why Carmelo would take a pay-cut for the Knicks. He has all the leverage and they have the space. Im not a Phil fan. But I will concede that he must be a great coach. But seriously, we have nothing to go on that he can manage roster moves. And the total culture overhaul and total resuscitation thats needed in NYK cannot be done withouyt your CEO engaged entirely, full-time, something he isnt willing to do. He has an ego, so i dont see him abdicating coaching decisions to first timer steve kerr nor not meddling in roster moves even if he landed a rock-star Gm like masi ujuri. Hes a coach, so what he knows he should not get involved with, and what he does not know is what he needs to get involved with. Add in Dolan, and I expect NYK to remain a mess for the near-mid future. I would not take a pay cut to be involved with the knicks. In Chicago, you have a team that has all the elements of a championship squad except for a wing scorer.
  24. Too bad Mcgary wasn't on the michigan tennis team.
  25. The only team I ever thought coasted at the end of the reg. season was the celts from a few years back. They almost won the championship but they had a deep team full of hall of gamers and probably the most front court depth ever. The spurs aren't coasting either. They are playing to win the game. Popovich is tryin to win unless he is making a statement to the league about Back to backs. Playing Duncan leonard and Parker 30 minutes instead of 34 is more about his rotations and less about him trying to win. He has more competent players than thibs and has the luxury of a larger rotation. Also, to my knowledge there has never been a credible linkage between minutes played and injury.
