Now the Rams get screwed. Jackson goes in for a touchdown, referees stand around confused, he spikes the ball and gets an unsportsmanlike penalty. Rams have to settle for a field goal. I know nobody cares about the Rams, but the incompetence is pretty egregious.

Wright was dinged for the Mets collapse that year. That narrative overrode Holliday and Colorado. Pujols and Chipper played on middling squads, plus Pujols had a subpar year by the lofty heights he had already achived. Utley and Soriano weren't exciting enough.

I have no idea why people were predicting such foolishness. For all the grief that Lovie catches, the Bears still have a pretty good defense, and I'm convinced that most criticism of Jay Cutler stems from the fact that he looks like a dick. I don't think it has anything to do with his ability; people just see the look on his face and presume that he can't play football and it leads to hilariously bad predictions. Also, where in the [expletive] [expletive] were people getting off thinking the Colts were going to shut down Brandon Marshall? Did they think Luck was going to get out and play corner? The only way someone could have possibly thought Indy wins that game is if Marshall is a non-factor.

People need to get a grip on the Astros. This wasn't some 1998 Marlins teardown. They lost 106 games in 2011. And they did it with players like Wandy, Brett Myers, JA Happ, Clint Barmes, Carlos Lee, some of Michael Bourn, etc. What is the difference between losing 110 games with old, washed-up veterans and losing 115 games with busted prospects?
