  1. Billy Clyde out at Texas Tech.
  2. The game is in Carolina, so I expect New York to win handily.
  3. Interesting comparison of the two right tackles: PFF has Richardson and Carimi rated as two of the worst in the league at pass blocking and two of the best at run blocking.
  4. I can't believe this guy is paid to write about football.
  5. Now the Rams get screwed. Jackson goes in for a touchdown, referees stand around confused, he spikes the ball and gets an unsportsmanlike penalty. Rams have to settle for a field goal. I know nobody cares about the Rams, but the incompetence is pretty egregious.
  6. lol, now the Redskins are getting screwed.
  7. The Rams had an unnecessary roughness penalty because RGIII bumped into his own teammate well out of bounds and fell down.
  8. Reggie Bush ran for 172 yards.
  9. New Orleans is pretty terrible on defense.
  10. Wright was dinged for the Mets collapse that year. That narrative overrode Holliday and Colorado. Pujols and Chipper played on middling squads, plus Pujols had a subpar year by the lofty heights he had already achived. Utley and Soriano weren't exciting enough.
  11. Clock stops incorrectly; costs Rams time
  12. Whoa. Chipper Jones wasn't great? He's got a lifetime OPS+ of 141.
  13. maybe you should pay better attention next time. He's been pretty bad his entire career.
  14. Milwaukee up 8-2 on the Braves. Los Angeles will overtake St. Louis in the next four days. The real fun begins next week when LA goes on a nine-game swing through Washington, Cincinnati and San Diego; Philadelphia goes through New York and hosts Atlanta/Washington and Milwaukee goes to Pittsburgh, Washington and Cincinnati.
  15. Nine outs from being 3 down with seven games coming against Houston and New York.
  16. 4 now. I'm not going to be surprised if they make it in. Phillies are also only four out of the second wild card. 3.5.
  17. 4 now. I'm not going to be surprised if they make it in.
  18. Fools, indeed.
  19. I have no idea why people were predicting such foolishness. For all the grief that Lovie catches, the Bears still have a pretty good defense, and I'm convinced that most criticism of Jay Cutler stems from the fact that he looks like a dick. I don't think it has anything to do with his ability; people just see the look on his face and presume that he can't play football and it leads to hilariously bad predictions. Also, where in the [expletive] [expletive] were people getting off thinking the Colts were going to shut down Brandon Marshall? Did they think Luck was going to get out and play corner? The only way someone could have possibly thought Indy wins that game is if Marshall is a non-factor.
  20. I knew the Rams gave Stafford too much time for a comeback.
  21. They should get back to explaining how the Giants can't beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
  22. Wait, I thought I heard the Redskins picked him up.
  23. People need to get a grip on the Astros. This wasn't some 1998 Marlins teardown. They lost 106 games in 2011. And they did it with players like Wandy, Brett Myers, JA Happ, Clint Barmes, Carlos Lee, some of Michael Bourn, etc. What is the difference between losing 110 games with old, washed-up veterans and losing 115 games with busted prospects?
  24. Football is what passes the time between baseball and college basketball.
  25. How many yards do you have Stafford throwing for on Sunday? I'm going to guess about 500.
