  1. Dave Matter says Kim Anderson is the new coach at Missouri. FML
  2. Sorry I'm late on this. David Yankey, OL, Stanford
  3. Marcus Lee, who is probably one of the 30 most talented players in the country, will again see about six minutes per game. Going to Kentucky has done wonders for his future earnings potential.
  4. Missouri's board of curators is meeting Monday. Jay Wright's name is inexplicably popping up.
  5. The Harrisons, Poythress, Johnson, Lyles, Towns, Booker, Ulis. It's unfair, but impressive.
  6. Not just sabermetric guys, Kevin, but also managers before the 1970s.
  7. We're making this guy look like Tom Seaver right now. And I picked a few Cubs in Draft Day thinking they would crush him.
  8. Arizona's starters are hide-your-eyes bad. ERAs: Bolsinger - 13.50 Delgado - 11.05 Arroyo - 9.50 Cahill - 9.17 Collmenter - 6.30 McCarthy - 6.23 Miley - 4.50
  9. Tim Floyd is a good coach, but my guess is that he's probably down on the list. Alden can't afford to screw this up again, so he'll scrounge up as much money as possible to offer Marshall. If he says no, my money is on a re-tread like Floyd or Howland. Missouri needs to win right away, and they offer the best chance for a quick turnaround.
  10. The source is Tim Floyd himself.
  11. The top of Missouri's wish list includes Gregg Marshall, Kim Anderson and Matt Painter. I have no idea why Anderson should be given serious consideration. If he's hired and they do well I'll gladly eat my words, but this seems like something to soothe the cranky white men.
  12. Gotta go secondary here. Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
  13. I thought Dave Matter would be above it, but no.
  14. I think he sees the writing on the wall at Mizzou. Not much returning and he might already be on the hot seat. Got while the getting was good. Pretty much this. I think he wanted out on his terms. Once Clarkson and Brown declared, he knew he'd be going into next season with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores, Deuce Bello and Cam Biedschied. Unless Williams, Clark, Jones, Gant and Wright turn into studs over the next six months, they probably win 15 games. Now I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mass exodus and they win 10 games. People were so pissed about the Painter bait-and-switch that Haith had to get to the Final Four to get any sort of approval. He paid for Mike Anderson's sins by patching up last season's roster with transfers, saving Missouri from a 15-win season. Somehow this angered people, who I've seen argue passionately that Haith should have had a bunch of top recruits lined up from the start. But again, this is a fan base with some people who delude themselves into thinking Missouri is a level below the blue bloods. Missouri made its first tournament in 1976. /endrant
  15. I think it's funny how many fans on Twitter are pissing and moaning about Haith. This team is going to be a dumpster fire next season.
  16. Matt Painter was supposed to be in final negotiations, too. ETA: Parrish says Haith is looking for a way out. If it's not violations, it must be because he's a lame duck.
  17. It would be pretty embarrassing for Mizzou to lose a coach to Tulsa. Yeah, it wouldn't be good and would portend that bad things are on the horizon.
  18. Tulsa is showing an interest in Frank Haith. I suspect Gant and Wright would walk away if he leaves.
  19. Sammy Watkins is a want, but since Jake Long tore his ACL it would be a crime to do anything other than go offensive tackle. Lewan seems like a bit of a nut, so I'll go Jake Matthews.
  20. The UT fans hated Cuonzo Martin. This is a mediocre piece, but it somewhat sums up the situation there: http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/98518/tennessee-gets-what-doesnt-want-but-deserves
  21. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.
  22. No, Lance Zierlein, I'm not. ETA: Blaine Gabbert -- 42
  23. Stauskas turning pro. Someone name a comp that isn't white.
  24. Probably so, but they are still elite college talents. Is everyone from that class going to look at Poythress and decide to take off?
