  1. It's a shame that guy is probably going to have to exit before our guy that is also shutting them out.
  2. It's almost like a relief pitcher's ERA through 7.1 innings might be deceiving. And it's also almost like we don't have any All-Star relief pitchers sitting around in the minor leagues.
  3. the video game move is coghlan playing at 2B, not RF, which we've done, you crazy ass weirdo Yeah. "Guys, guys, let's be real, Joe would never do such a thing!"
  4. I love how only in a video game would you plug a left fielder into right field, when the same player was just randomly plugged into [expletive] second base like two weeks ago.
  5. *Kyle post* We removed the worst player from our line-up and did so without tipping off other teams that we realize how much he sucks, salvaging what little trade value he still had.
  6. Keep taking pitches and build that pitch count up. Oh, and somebody dong!
  7. :( I really wanted him in the draft. Stupid Cherington should have gotten canned a few months earlier.
  8. How great would it be if the Cardinals won 98 games and finished third in the division? On a similar note, that would suck if we did...
  9. It's actually pretty close. Our World Series odds as a Wild Card team are about half of what they would be if we were guaranteed to not play in the Wild Card game. So ~6% as a Wild Card and ~12% as a division winner. our minds are one lol... I missed your post. But, what's this 5 and 10%... you aren't giving us a dong bump to the full 1/8?
  10. They also both have a bunch of games with Arizona left, and they are kinda terrifying offensively. And the Padres, who at least aren't horrible. And they have to go to Coors; have fun getting into the bullpen with Vogelsong and Cain and the rest of their shitty rotation. And the Dodgers have the Angels and Pirates. I'm completely past worrying about them.

  12. BP doesn't update until the next day, right? Another day down, another day of not gaining ground on us for the Giants -- even if they come back and win. The longer that goes on, the more difficult it is for them to catch us.
  13. Not to mention: The odds are even better for us to pass the Cardinals than for the Giants to pass us, when not looked at in a vacuum. For one, we have six more games head-to-head against the Cardinals; the Giants only get three against us. Secondly, the Giants have some atrocious starting pitching. Thirdly, they have Panik and that alien-looking weirdo on the DL. On the other hand, the Cards have several position players on the DL and are giving regular playing time to a bunch of horrible players. I mean, something called Tommy Pham was hitting second for them today. Their offense is garbage right now. Also... need I remind him again of the dongs?
  14. I mean the Giants losing *does* help us Umm, no. The Giants wild card hopes are all but dead. And have you not noticed all the donging going on? To be worried about that team, with that pitching staff, when they are 5.5 games back is silly. Looks impossible now but they go out and sweep us at home this week and they're right back in it. Well, they would still be trailing by 1.5 games, even if they come back tonight and we lose tomorrow, and then they swept us. And we literally just handed their asses to them two weeks ago. And one of the match-ups is Matt Cain vs. Jake Arrieta. And did I mention the dongs? And if they did all of that, they would most likely pass the Dodgers at that point. And even then, their pitching staff still sucks, and did I mention the dongs?

  17. My groin is tight, too -- thanks to all the dongs.
  18. Kluber kinda scares me. He's really good. Though, the rest of his team sucks and #wearegood Cubs win 5-1 after we tack on some dongs once Kluber leaves.
  19. Kinda disappointing that it was a push.
